Movie night?
So! I got myself a streaming account so I could watch horrible movies and the occasional sappy Korean drama, and I found a really awful one--movie, not drama. I like my shows, okay?

Anyway, it's based off some American cartoon, and everything about it is bad. The villain overacts, the sister can't act, the grandfather clearly doesn't want to be there, all of the adults in the movie are stupid as hell, and you wonder why the hero kid hasn't just turned evil on them--or, now that I think about it, I think the villain might actually have been an evil future version of him. The writing was so bad I couldn't tell.

And because of that movie being so bad it was awesome, I thought, hey, why not do a shitty movie night? We'll set up somewhere--doesn't have to be the Mysterious Library or anything; so long as we've got room to sit and watch this crap, it's fine--put on a show, and enjoy something stupid. You know, something to help when our lives start getting shitty. And I'll make sure it doesn't conflict with Homework Club or whatever, 'cause seriously, kids, do your homework.

Thoughts? Movie suggestions?

Damn, lost Kirito's signal. Hope that doesn't mean anything. And just when I was gonna look at the engine to figure out how to get him out.

Also, for the life of me, I can't find a box of fireworks. I'm not too worried--Ryuji probably got rid of them on me, but...

[pause]

[LONG pause]

Why is there an elephant in the Command Center?

For that matter, HOW is there an elephant in the Command Center?

Merry Duckmas
If I'd had a chance to plan this out better, I'd have set up a chorus of "We Wish You A Merry Duckmas." As it stands, I'm untangling a robot kitten from a ball of yarn. Given it started life as accidental cross-contamination between a computer virus and some weird monster hologram that somehow infected the various toys I was picking apart and trying to construct a robot from, I'm sure the kitten is up to some kind of evil.

Evil that smells like citrus, apparently.

So, because I have too many secrets, and I really hate keeping 'em, Link! Congratulations--you get a special gift from yours truly!

...If I can figure out a way to teleport it to you. Hmm. I'm gonna need to set up a marker system of somet kind.

[In case it makes it over, it's a quiver, specifically designed to tag any arrows with a marker system for a teleportation program to recall any missed shots/prevent wasting arrows.]

SHIT
Kaitou! Calling Kaitou! Answer because I've tried calling Ren and I think he's changed his settings to "ignore the genius"!

I think I made a mistake.

Hey, since community-Christmas--Communimas? Duckmas?--is coming up, and I know some people are just dying to give each other gifts--or coal, or low-intensity explosives--I've got the perfect thing for you to send your gifts without having to leave your couch.

I'd love to take credit for the program, but I didn't actually work on it. Got caught up in it, which brings me to a very important point:

Please, for the love of everything, do not send living things through it. If you're buying someone a puppy, use a worldhop for it. Fine china is safer in a teleport than living things, okay? It works by breaking down particles into data and reconstructing them on the other side, and we haven't worked out the kinks where that isn't fatal to all but the extremely lucky, talented, and genius, i.e., me. And my teammates, but they've got another program that keeps them alive in the event of teleportation, and it's definitely something I can't give out easily, got it?

Let's recap: If teleporting, nonliving only.

Thanks, and Merry Duckmas.

[Jin is still in those PJs from the Thanksgiving sleepover. And there's a very large box sticking out of his sleeping bag--he might have used it as a shopping cart.]

I need someone to pick me up. The last thing I remember after the party is...well, it's Miharu and Yayoi zipping me tight in a sleeping bag, but somehow I got out. But anyway, I think I just bought out half the electronics stores in Akihabara. I've got a new game system, a half-built robot or six, and I'm gonna guess J threw in a sixpack of Enetron at some point before I lost him.

I don't even know if I'm in my own world. I need pickup. And probably a part-time job to make up for how much of the EMC's budget I just spent.

Man, that was a pain. Yo, sorry for disappearing for about a week on everybody. We had a Metaroid completely delete all the information off our computers--and it's totally J's fault, by the way--so we've spent all this time trying to get everything back online.

But in the meantime, I found an emulator for a game I'd played way back before getting stuck in Hyperspace, so I'm going to try and play it again, especially now that there's playthroughs and FAQs to getting one of the best glitches in the game.

...Huh. "Beneath the seas, beyond the flame, off the coast where the lost beast came, to bring the world misery and shame, a piece of the world is missing." Sounds ominous.

[shrug]

Oh well.

Shit. I've got a problem. Damn virus.

[Jin's voice sounds rough, and his breathing is ragged.]

I'm awake. In Hyperspace. I can't connect to my avatar.

video + canon bump
(Shinji appears less confused on the screen and more deep in thought, lost in his own thoughts. He is able to hear replies however, and seems to be talking to himself.

Oh, and he's also staring at his 'Contract' card but totally ignore that. He still has reservations about the whole Rider thing, and he's annoyed with a certain roommate of his.)

...Ren had no right to say that...you can't feel anything when someone you know dies! It'd be like me not feeling anything if he knew someone and they died in front of him. Yeah, he chose how he was gonna die but he was still our friend...even if he was a Rider.

(Shinji did feel responsible for what had happened, since he could've countered with an attack of his own or dodged out of the way. But he wasn't going to waste his life as a result of what had occurred. He had promises to keep, after all.)

But still...he's changed.

[Orlando is still in his Thargor sim, looking a little...exaggerated somehow, but otherwise okay, and still completely real in that way the Otherland system seems able to make things. It's night where he is, a dim golden glow being the main source of illumination. He seems to be leaning against a massive wooden pillar. Next to him, a smaller robed figure is curled up in sleep.

Orlando begins to speak, his voice pitched low so as not to bother his sleeping companion.
]

Hey, community. I thought...I should tell you guys some things, in case we can't find the others, or if- [he stumbles over the words for a moment, but then presses firmly through] if we don't make it. I know you probably won't be able to get anything to my world but...a record somewhere is probably a good idea, right?

[He takes a deep breath.] I think I've figured out what the Grail Brotherhood- the people who made this network- are doing. What the point behind this is. They want to become immortal. If they can copy themselves into this system, they could basically be gods, forever.

[He turns away to cough, and pauses for a moment before resuming.] And that means that people who kill anyone who gets in their way, who are letting kids die just so that maybe they can get more time, could stay in power forever.

We're going to stop them. [He doesn't seem too sure of that, though. In fact, he mostly just seems tired. He reaches out a hand towards whatever is recording him, and the video ends.]

Creating A Monster Part 2
[Well now, this was something. Kaitou had actually screwed up and now there was an alarm being rung as he almost casually runs out of the estate "Tsubomi" was seen in previously, a box under his arm. He seems like he's home free as the guards hadn't arrived yet but one little voice cuts into the camera.]

Wait! Wait that's my family treasure, give it back!

[A little kid no more than ten ran up to him and tried to yank back the case but Kaitou shrugged him off easily.]

Let go! [Vaulting the gate, he landed and turned to the kid.] Treasures must never be hidden or lost.

[Several blocks away, Kaitou slowed down on a bridge and figuring that the police officers were far enough away, opened the box as he pulled out a gem encrusted gold and platinum gun. He seemed satisfied with his theft until he noticed something underneath. Digging into the box again, he pulled out what appeared to be a stack of letters seconds before a bullet impacted, sending the box, gun and all of its contents flying right into the river, scattering paper everywhere. Kaitou's face darkened as he ducked a few more shots and escaped into another world.]

[Jin has a candle in front of him and a flashlight against his face as he tells a ghost story in a very low voice.]

And on every night thereafter, from the bottom of the well, you can hear Okiku counting the plates.

[In front of him, Nick, Yoko, and Nakamura are pressed against each other in terror.]

One...

Two...

Three...

[Gorisaki and Usada are also looking pretty scared. J...well, he's probably not listening.]

Four...

[Off to the side by the roof's railings, Hiromu and Morishita aren't nearly as impressed.]

How vexing... One is missing...

Was the one who took it...

YOU?!

[That's your cue, Ellen! Hope you're wearing the Sadako costume!]

[accidental video - canon update]
[The video opens up in a hospital room. There's four girls, three of them in hospital beds. On one side of the room are a girl with blue hair and one with brown hair. On the other side is Setsuna, who's sitting by the bed of a blonde girl. Judging from the tarot cards Setsuna is laying out, she's in the middle of fortune telling. The blonde, Love, is looking at the cards very seriously.]

How is it? Did something change?

[Setsuna looks up from her cards and smiles.] It may be painful now, but you should work hard on both.

Really?

Yes.

Thanks, Setsuna! I feel full of energy now! [The other girls don't look as enthusiastic as Love, though. In fact, they look downright skeptical.]

Hey, Setsuna-san... Didn't you tell us to pick one over the other?

Why did our fortunes change so much?

[Setsuna turns to the other girls, still smiling.] Fortunes are fluid. They change over time. They don't remain the same forever.

Oh? It's like us.

Eh? [Setsuna turns back to Love, surprised.]

Sometimes we have fun, sometimes we feel sad. Sometimes we love each other, sometimes we don't. We're forever changing.

Ah... Right.

Okay! I'll eat a lot, regain my energy and work hard! [Love gives Setsuna a thumbs up.] Come watch the dance contest, Setsuna!

[Setsuna smiles.] Of course.

[With that, Setsuna says goodbye to the girls and leaves the room. Once the door is closed behind her, her smile is gone immediately, replaced by an annoyed frown.]

Hmph. Like I really care about that pointless contest. Honestly... [Setsuna starts walking, still oblivious to the fact that she's being recorded.] Such a foolish, naive girl. [She smirks.] Well, no matter. If she wants to tire herself out, that's fine with me.

[And on that ominous note, the video ends.]

[OOC Note: Red is Setsuna, pink is Love, blue is Miki and yellow is Inori.]

Creating A Monster
[The camera seems to be following a lovely redhead that was mingling with a lot of elite socialites in what appears to be a gated off home. It was rich, incredibly so and there was a lot of well to do people here and there.

The girl from behind seemed familiar, her shade of red hair similar to many. And when asked a question, she turned and lo and behold, it was Tsubomi. What was Tsubomi doing in a formal setting?

Wearing this dress no less. It looked far too expensive as she took a glass of champagne and sipped it.]

Of course I'm enjoying the evening, why thank you for the invitation. [An indistinct reply.] Why yes Kurosaki-dono, I'm rather happy you would let us see it.

[Wow what was that. That was even Tsubomi's voice, if not her mannerisms. Nodding to him, she excused herself and moved into the bathroom where upon she held up a mirror, checking her eyeliner. Noticing the shimmer of the community, she eyed it before turning around.]

The show will begin soon. Just you all wait. [And kissing her lips with two fingers, she made a very familiar bang motion before leaving the room.

Kaitou. What are you up to now...]

One of these Days
So I think I just did something incredibly stupid but I was forgiven for it. Lemme recap.

So I saved a young player in the forest from a bunch of Apes a few levels higher than she was. Her name is Silica, and she's a nice girl. Lemme get a picture up of her, I got a screenshot.

Silica Right Here

Cute huh? In any case, I saved her and her pet dragon Pima was killed in battle. So we went to the 45th floor and I helped her get a flower that will revive battle pets within 3 days of their death.

Now the dumb thing about it, is that she was being hunted by a PK guild. I know, horrible isn't it? They were scouting her and lining her up for a kill when I intervened. I sent those scum to jail after stating in no matter of terms that I would kill them all if I wasn't asked to send them to jail by a crystal made from a Guild Leader who's guild was wiped out by these cutthroats.

Thing is, we promised to see each other in the real world. So I guess I got myself a extra goal to reach now.

So yeah, you can tell me it was a dumb idea, killing two birds with one stone metaphorically. What I want to know is was it a really dumb idea to use Silica as bait, or should I have come clean? The letter I got from myself said I should use her as bait and apologize but you know how well that turns out even if she likes me.
