[The feed cuts on, wobbly at first, and soon it becomes clear that the book had landed open on the floor. You can see the ceiling of Harry's apartment as well as most of the top half of the wall with all of its tapestries, windows, and the mantle on the fireplace. A second later you see a nose as a large black wolf sniffs the book. It backs away a little as it circles around and stares down with a curious confused look. Text appears soon after, even though no one is writing.]

Great, Harry. You got it open, now what are you going to do? You can't exactly ask them how this happened without being able to speak.

(Harry has been affected by the animal virus and the inner thoughts virus. He is one very confused puppy right now.)

//The picture is a little closer together this time, offering less of a view of the apartment behind him.//

Hello again, good people of the internet. *cheerful today* This is test number 83 and finally this thing is working again.

//Harry pokes at the screen, but it stays solid this time, video moving a little as the object he tapped moves.//

Today I'm trying something so I don't sound like I'm crazy when talking to you, so bear with me here and let me know if you see anything.

//He grabs a pen and starts writing off camera, but the text appears on the community when he's done.//

I remember some of you mentioning journals and thought I would try something, so let me know if you can see this.

((ooc edit: So, after longer than I had hoped, I am back and caught up! And now will be bothering people on their threads. T-thanks for being patient!))

[The picture starts out like a TV with horrible reception, flickering from static to a faded colorless image of Harry with one hand out towards the screen, a look of concentration on his face. For those that saw him the first time: He is no longer wearing the robe, but more modern clothes. Read: a plain T-shirt and jeans.

The picture fades in and out a few times, sound flickering as well with short periods during the clear parts of the video that you can hear his voice muttering something. Then the video cuts out to static entirely.

Several seconds past before it jumps and suddenly the video is clear, in full color, and the sound is pretty sharp.

Instead of the lab this time, you can see part of a small apartment with one closed door in the background and a glimpse of a kitchenette off to the side. Everything about the apartment looks a little mismatched but it looks very comfy, from the secondhand couch Harry is sitting on to the posters and things on the walls. Sunlight filters in from the small windows set high into a couple of the walls, but the majority of the room is lit by candles. There isn't even a small lamp anywhere visible.

The picture is also noticeably smaller than it was the first time, more like a computer screen. Harry looks pleased.

[Video] How a computer illiterate joins livejournal
[The image pops up suddenly, revealing a man standing in what looks like a small, creepy, candlelit laboratory. The middle table has a scale model of a city, including tiny details such as the trees and lamps on the streets. There are shelves full of strange jars and books and papers lying cluttered everywhere, with one shelf taken up by a single skull and numerous paperbacks surrounding it. The only spot of organization in the entire room is a smaller table near the big one that hints at the occasional presence of a second person.

However, for now the man is the only one visible. He is holding a large, leather bound book in one hand, and holding the other hand towards the screen. He's wearing a thick robe, and murmuring something in Latin. He's entirely focuses on what he's trying to do and doesn't seem to notice that it probably hasn't worked out as he intended.

There's a voice, but the visible man isn't the one speaking:

Uh, Harry? Somehow I don't think that's what you were trying to summon.

[The man stops mumbling and turns to look at the shelves.]

What are you talking about-

[And now he's turned to look at the screen, his mouth falling open in surprise.]

What is this?

It looks like some kind of blog, if you ask me.

A what?

[He steps closer, and the screen must be really big cause his whole body is still visible even that close.]

You are hopeless.

[Harry shoots another look at the shelves and scuffs his shoe over a multicolored line on the floor. Clearly whatever he was expecting didn't happen, because he looks stunned again.]

I am officially confused. What is this?

[He passes his hand through the screen and the picture gets fuzzy for a moment before clearing up again.]
