[the video feed comes in dim and flickering, like the camera is snapping on and off or being covered by someone... turning... pages? The sound of rustling paper certainly indicates the latter.

There are glimpses of an elaborate ceiling high above in the gloom, domed and painted bright colours, perhaps a palace or a temple. Closer to the 'camera' is the face of a young woman with grey eyes and long ash brown hair, tied back in a ponytail. It definitely isn't Takiko, but the post seems to be coming from Takiko's journal...?

The young woman is frowning, her expression becoming more and more suspicious as she continues to flip through pages. She doesn't seem to care that the front of her sleeping robe is gaping open, revealing boobs and a heavy swath of bandages running diagonally across her chest and a — mark? tattoo? — of the Japanese symbol for 'woman', 女, just below her collarbone. Enjoy the show, ducks.

She's downright scowling by the time she reaches the end of the entries, muttering a quick curse and an 'Idiot girl' as she looks away and slams the book closed]

Oi, where is all of this coming from? Just who are you, and what are you saying to Takiko?

[the entry comes only minutes after the video feed, and handwriting is rough and angular, not at all like Takiko's usual elegant hand]

[The video starts with a close-up of Izumi's face.]

Ciao everyone! Halloween is coming almost here and I wanted to show you the costume I picked out. Some classmates of mine are having a party...and I'm going!

[She grins broadly before stepping away. The full view reveals that Izumi is wearing a costume. She spins, causing the skirt to twirl. She laughs giddily and winks at the camera.]

So, what do you think? It's my first time going to a party with my classmates, so I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

I want to go flying. Ever since I got my Digimon spirits back I've wanted to go flying, but I can't really do that from where I am. I really think people would notice if some strange creature with wings was hovering over Japan. It's a bit too much attention for me, you know?

So is there anyone who knows a place where seeing a Digimon flying around wouldn't be strange? I wouldn't stay long. Just long enough to stretch my wings and have a nice flight. Any help would be great.

[She winks at the camera and waves.]

[today's video featuring kouji is a little different. he's in the real world, that much is obvious, he's standing in the park, looking around and seeing no one else in the area. reaching into his pocket he takes something out of it, a device that he hadn't held in a long time.

a digivice, actually.... but it was strange, after coming back to the real world it had disappeared on him.]

...Did the community bring this back to me?

[for whatever reason it did, and it must have sensed how much he wanted it back. he had friends that he wanted to protect after all. and in one swift motion a light engulfed him, the digicode surrounding him and he turned into something else. the data molded to him, changing him, and when the digicode left him all that remained was a much taller figure, one that didn't look like kouji at all.

he was wolfmon again.]

Attendere. Attendere.

What's going on? Is there some virus turning everyone young or something? That's got to be it.

Someone's got to fix this quickly. I've got class tomorrow...and a date with Kouji...and I can't go like this!

[The feed opens on a park at night. It should be a peaceful sight, but it's far from it. There's two people, a couple from the looks of it, screaming and running away, as small fireballs hit the ground behind them.

As they run, you can see a small figure jumping after them. He stops after a while, laughing as the couple disappears from the park.]

Ahahahaha, that's right, you'd better run! Here, take one for the road! Baddaboom! [He snaps his fingers and another fireball appears, flying after them before hitting a tree.] Hahahahaaaa... Ahhhh, that never gets old.

[The figure walks forward and the camera finally decides to focus on him, revealing... a small, purple imp. Not exactly imposing.]

Huh? What's this now? [He turns to look at the camera and walks towards it. Whatever's being used to record this is getting picked up.] Guess one a' those humans musta dropped it. What's this piece a' junk do, anyway? [He starts randomly pushing buttons, but nothing really happens. He frowns as he takes a closer look at it, but then shrugs.] Well, finders keepers!

[It looks like this time Orlando is sitting in front of a campfire at night. His surroundings aren't very clear, obscured by the light and the smoke from the fire, though there is the sound of someone else snoring. Though he's in the same simulated body, Orlando himself appears to be in better shape than he was in the last video that came from his account. For one, sitting up doesn't seem to be a struggle.]

Hey, community. There's been a lot going on, so I haven't really...updated here. [He shifts, settling his weight back a little.]

We're still online, in this network. Nobody knows why we can't get offline. But there's this guy- [He almost says the name, "Sellers," but at the last moment wonders if that might be an unnecessary risk to the man.] He helped get us all here, people from all over, because he wanted people to help him stop the people in charge of the network. They're some of the most powerful people in the world and...they're not good. [His expression darkens.] They've been doing things to kids. Putting them in comas.

[His look becomes direct. Determined. Sincere.] So we're going to stop them. [After a moment, a trace of embarrassment or doubt passes over him.] Or at least we're going to try.

[He looks off to the side.] Fredericks and I got separated from the others, though, so we'll have to find them first.

Um. I guess that's it.

[video] [welcome to Otherland]
[It's Orlando's journal, all right, but things are looking different today. For one, there's the young man lying on the sand, with a black cloak draped over him, in front of palm trees and other vegetation which suggest a tropical beach. He looks to be in his late teens, or perhaps very early twenties. His long black hair is tied loosely into a ponytail, his skin is well-tanned, and what is visible of his body seems toned enough for him to be a professional athlete, or an actor from an action flick. In fact, the general look of him says "B fantasy movie character." Anyone who has seen footage of Orlando playing the Middle Country might think that this looks like a younger version of his "Thargor" character.

But there's something off about the young man. For all that he appears to be in the prime of health, he doesn't move like it. The way his chest rises and falls suggests someone seriously ill, for whom breathing is a battle.

That's not the only thing that's off, though. There's something bigger. All of this- the sand, the palm trees, the hairs that aren't contained by the man's ponytail- they all lack that little lag in movement, that little sense of the lines and shadows being wrong. Everything looks completely real.

But it can't be, can it?

The man opens his eyes, and turns his head towards the camera. He appears confused for a few moments, frowning vaguely.

The community? [And that is definitely Orlando's voice, though weak and strained. A small smile forms on his face, before he pulls his head to his chest to cough. It's a violent sound. But when he rests his head, he returns to facing the community, and speaks again.]

I wish Fredericks could see this. [A pause. And something behind his eyes is ignited.] Fredericks. [With what is apparently great effort, he turns, and lifts himself shakily on one elbow.] Someone has to tell his parents- both our parents, that we're...that we're here.

[He starts to cough again, and the video ends.]

Is this how you work it? I really need some-oh, it's on! Great! It was getting frustrating after a while, but it...looks like the video on this thing is working.

[And so the face of a spikey-haired boy comes into view, his face showing signs of excitement.]

Ciaossu! Listen, there's a problem here. See, this place keeps on popping up on my computer, and I've tried several times to make it go away. But, it just won't! I really don't know what to think about it.

Anyways, it's really starting to clog up my computer by this point, and I'm wondering if there is any way to just make it go away. What is this place supposed to be, some sort of...social network site? This is all sounding way too familiar with what Natsume-san does.

...oh, right! I forgot about it. Ahem, my name is Souhei Sasahara, but my friends call me "Sasayan", so feel free to call me that. If you have any idea on how to help me, please let me know! If it doesn't go away then... [A bit of despair seemed to flash on his face at that point, quickly replaced by his usual grin.] Thanks, you've been helpful!

[See a confused face brighten just a little when the video starts--]

Wow. So, uh, there really is somethin' on this thing to talk to, huh? And it looks like there's even a lot of you guys. That's amazing! Though I really thought Sanzo and Hakkai were talkin' to themselves for a while there...

Ah! Say, what's this Community thing about, anyway? It's different from anythin' I've seen before.

fail!lock from Kouji
Does anyone notice that the community puts people together? You know...romantically? I mean like, during the viruses. It seems a little creepy don't you think? Obviously the community is kind of creepy to begin with but this is just...ridiculous!

Someone else has to have noticed this, right? I can't be the only one.

[The video from Izumi's cell phone turns on and shows an upward angle of her face. Unlike when you last saw her, Izumi is wearing clothes more befitting for late fall rather than summer. She seems to be busy typing up a text when she realizes the camera is on and stops. She leans in and takes a close look at her screen.]

Is that...

Per carita! It is! The community finally came back!

[She smiles and waves.]

Ciao anitre! It's been a while. How is everyone?

I'll have to tell Kouji about this. [She stops and suddenly looks a bit angry. She mumbles something to herself.] Well he can find out on his own.

But anyway, it's good to see this place again!

[ooc: Italian translations are "No way!" and "Hello Ducks!"]

[The feed comes on, and what looks like to be the children in some... strange area.

They're floating there, all look to be in pain. There's something wrong here, they're.... losing. Lucemon, their greatest enemy, is in front of them, talking to them about how he'll finish them off for good.

He uses one of his attacks, sending a ball of light down to them, and once he sends that other ball of darkness, it'll be all over for them. But wait-... there's someone missing in this group. Just when they thought it was all over, yet another person comes down, and it seems to be Kouichi, but he's still in his Lowemon form. He protected them from that ball of darkness, but as soon as he does he takes the full attack on. While he's in pain, he turns to the rest of the group, saying that they need to win, and after they get back to the human world.... he's probably already gone. Kouji mutters something along the lines of, 'it can't be...' and after the attack is finished, Kouichi's spirit is seen. He floats down towards the others, handing over the spirits of darkness to Kouji.]

...I'm glad I came to the Digital World. I'm glad I met you....

Are you done talking? What a pain you are, disappear.

[Lucemon erases Kouichi after his little spiel, and Kouji yells out for his brother. Right after that he cringes, in absolute pain. He's unable to control both the spirit of light and darkness it seems.... and then Takuya grows angered, and something happens to the two of them. The two of them became one, another evolution called Susanoomon. Right after that though, the feed cuts off.]

[There's nothing there for the next little while, who knows what could have happened to everyone, but.....]

[anonymous] [back dated to Sailor Moon Virus]
So...I'm pretty new to this Sailor Soldier thing, and I was wondering what do you guys do about secret identities. Do you even bother keeping one, or do you let people know who you are? I'm traveling with a group of people right now and they don't know that I'm a soldier. I don't know if I should tell them, or keep it a secret. I trust them all. More than I've trusted anyone, but I don't want them to get in trouble because of me - because of who I am.

I guess this just goes out to all the other Sailor Soldiers out there. What do you think is better? Keeping the secret or letting it out?
24 April 2012 @ 08:42 pm
[Suddenly there's a view of a teenage boy- looks like he was messing around on his cell phone and he doesn't know that the community had decided to bother him again. He's been around the community before but... he's much older than people are used to seeing. He's even wearing a school uniform, he's obviously in high school now.]

Wh...whoa... is this the community-? It's been years since I've seen it...

[And he's quickly walking somewhere, looking like he's grabbing someone and dragging them over to take a look at his phone.]

Hey Izumi check it out.

[And he's handing her the phone.]

Per carita! It's been years since I was able to access this place! How did you find it, Kouji?

[A shrug.] It just popped up....

[And Izumi shoves him out of the way, trying to hog the phone now.] Hey everyone! It's been a long time! Is anyone still around??

...Of course someone is still around. [He just had to toss that in.]

( ooc: Kouji = blue and Izumi = purple, of course. Replies will come from [personal profile] ponytailking and [personal profile] wasoncethewind )

[Instead of seeing Izumi when the video clicks on, you see Fairymon (ala the icon~). Her expression looks confused as she examines the camera.]

What a strange terminal...it seems to be hooking up to a network all on it's own. It's curious, but I really don't have time to mess around with something like this.

[She flutters her wings and hovers away. However, the camera seems to be following her. Yep. The terminal is movie. She notices and stops. She frowns.]

I said I don't have time for you!!!

[Basically an AU where the chosen kids actually ARE Digimon, as opposed to just using their spirits.]
05 April 2012 @ 12:30 am
[Izumi looks a bit tired and defeated when the camera turns on. She frowns slightly as if thinking deeply.]

Just when we thought things were finally over, it just gets worse... I guess we'll be in the Digital World a little longer.

...Does anyone have any idea how to travel from back to a planet from it's moon? We don't exactly have a rocket or anything...

[ooc: for canon reasons, worldhopping will be disabled to the Digital World.]

[The video is filming a dim stone room of a medieval castle of sorts. The focus is on an elegant bed where Izumi lies asleep. She's wearing an elegant purple gown and wearing a silver tiara on her head.

Now enters Kouji, dressed in princely attire. He slowly approached Izumi's bedside. He then glances down at her, and after a few moments he merely kneels down next to the bed. Kouji hesitates, but he soon leans forward and places his lips atop hers. When he pulls away he stares down at her, waiting for the princess to wake up from her slumber.

After only a moment, her eyes flutter open and she smiles at Kouji.]

My prince, you've saved me!
