I haven't started reading it yet, but a new book came out that's supposed to be very fascinating and I've been thinking of picking it up. I've been meaning to find something new to read in my free time.

Have any of you from the future read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by a man named Lewis Carroll?
    Fairy Dr. Lydia Carlton
P.S. If it becomes famous, I don't mind getting a few people some first edition copies if you can reimburse me.

Some of you might have noticed that I'm back now, but I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I was safe. It was.. something of an ordeal, but Edgar and I are both alright. That man was hiding an entire box's worth of requests for my services as a fairy doctor though, so it's no wonder I didn't have enough work. I thought I was going to have to go back to Scotland to study some more because I wasn't getting enough to do around here.

That said, Nico and I are going through these requests but I'd like to open the opportunity up to you as well. Does anyone here have any strange, inexplicable circumstances happening around them? Even simple things like socks disappearing or items being misplaced can be the work of fairies. If it seems dangerous, please don't hesitate to ask either since it might just be an unfortunate misunderstanding between you and the fairy. I'm open to any questions or curiosities as well.

[ This locking thing just doesn't work when it comes to Edgar, it really.. really doesn't. Whether it's to Edgar or from Edgar, it seems like it never works.

This case is no different, so Lydia's voice is going to sound as though she's trying to keep herself from panicking. ]

Edgar?

Edgar, If you're getting this, it was the fairy egg that I had and now.. I'm at the cell. The one that you thought you saw fairies in when you were younger.

[ There's a pause in her voice. ]

I'm sure you knew who Miss Doris and Miss Rosalie were when you started me on this case, but.. even if you promised me you wouldn't lie again, I won't be angry. I'll keep trying to get out of my own power, but please don't leave me here alone. Come find me.

[ Lydia's updating idly from her father's study while she's looking up certain things about a certain stone that a certain butler happened to hand her after a certain stupid orange-haired twit dropped it while aguing with Lydia. ]

Say that I made a bet with someone over whether or not Edgar would try to kiss me as soon as he gets the chance? I'm fairly confident in my chances even if the stakes are pretty high, but what do you guys think? It was sort of heat of the moment when I made the bet, but I'm wondering if Edgar would or wouldn't do something like that..

[ After all, he was a gentleman and actually didn't peek at her at the waterpark. So now she's second thinking her bet... it's a little late now, but still. ]

Has anyone else ever made a bet in the heat of the moment like this that they're not quite sure about the more they think about it but it's too late to take back?

{{OOC: Edgar is ash mauve, Lydia is rusty caramel, and Raven is green. }}

[ The video starts with Edgar bursting in through a door, happily calling out Lydia's name as she sits, looking a little exhausted in front of a table. ]

Lydia! Thank goodness, you weren't hurt.

[ Lydia doesn't look particularly amused. ] Right... Thanks to you, I was saved by Raven just in time. [ Even if it's probably because Edgar had Raven tailing her.. ]

Also this thing. I've brought it back for you, Miss Lydia.

[ Raven places an imported can of mackerel fillets on the table. ]

Ah... Thank you.. [ Lydia still isn't looking too impressed. It's not like it was even hers, it was Nico's. ]

...Lydia.

[ Edgar looks a little more serious now though. ] Continued underneath the cut )

video; fairytale of a silver moon night (memory lane)
[ The video starts with flashing lights. Bright, colorful, like a hazy dream. It's a party of some kind, but everyone around seems slightly different. They've got wings for one and the roses surrounding them are huge. Lydia's the same size as they are, so it's hard to tell if she's smaller or the flowers are larger than normal. Dancing in circles, Lydia's invited to dance with them just before a monstrously sized cat appears-- Nico, at his normal size. Lydia was the one shrunk. ]

Don't do it Lydia. [ Nico stood on his hind legs. ] You have never negotiated with fairies before. Even if you knew charms to stop pranks, it's hopeless to try to trade with a queen so suddenly.

OOC Cut for Length, just to save your reading pages. )

{{OOC: Regular is Lydia, Italics is Nico, Bold is the Rose Meadow Fairy Queen, and in quotation marks is Ian.}}

Hello everyone! We're still traveling, though by coach now. Edgar's asleep right now. (I believe, it is difficult to tell sometimes.) I can't seem to tonight. It's better that one of us is awake anyway.

So I have a question for all of you: What is your experience with fairies in your world? Are there any popular fairy tales you know of or do you have personal experience?

Well, that was two, but I would appreciate your answers.

It's come to my attention that a man named Edgar J.C. Ashenbert is part of the Duck this. [ She's not sure what exactly it's called. The strikeouts are visible, of course. No, she has no idea how to lock posts either. Technology, man. ] He's tall, with blonde hair, ash-mauve eyes, and he's reasonably good-looking.

Now, this may come as a strange question, but...

Has anyone here gotten a glimpse of his tongue?

Nico?

[ There's a young woman on the screen with long, rust-colored hair. She appears to be looking off to the side of the screen curiously now. The woman is definitely kneeling down on the ground to see into whatever it is she's looking at this from. She really doesn't understand this community thing. Or the internet thing. Or any of this.

#19thcenturyproblems

Anyway, she looks back at the screen uncertainly after Nico doesn't respond, indicating he's not around. ]

Is someone from the fairy world trying to reach me?

[ That's.. one explanation that might make sense? Maybe? She's hoping??? ]
