It's Monday morning, everyone. Please hand in your french assignments.

Just because we've apparently all gone home is no reason to slack.

Attention Students
Bonjour!

Just a note for my French Class students:
Sorry about my absense last week, my dear students. Small family emergency, you know how it is. I trust you treated the substitute well? I know she forgot to assign homework, but no one reminded her! For shame everyone. I guess I should learn not to expect better of you...

Anyway! Because you didn't get it last week, your assignment is this (Pretend this is in french, kay?). It's a wonderful Victor Hugo poem, in French of course. Just have it memorized by the end of the week so you can recite it in class. And before anyone asks, no, you can't have the poem with you while you're supposed to be reciting it.

Now, to everyone else...what's this I'm hearing about a five hour lecture? Because it appears to overlap one of my classes! I will not be accepting that as an excuse for missing class, students.

what if virus
You know, I love it here on Corsica, but I wish I could travel more. When my father has something important to do over on the mainland he's always going himself, or sending my brother...they let me come along when it's something not very 'dangerous'...or important. But it's boring here most of the time. I take the yacht over to the French coast every few weeks, but besides that I'm just...stuck here. I am 'learning the family business' but it's mostly the paperwork side.

We get visitors all the time, speaking exotic languages with all these talents and specialties. Not the sort that are really something you can talk about in pleasant company, but still...I wish I could do things like that. My uncle has been training me to shoot a handgun but Daddy isn't a fan so I never really get to do it often. He says I'm a natural at it though, I guess that's a good thing? Daddy does have some enemies...

But anyway, I was wondering how often you all get to travel? Do you get to go anywhere really exciting?

(( Mireille is virused! This would be as if her parents were never killed, so she's a perfectly normal nineteen year old mafia princess who wants for nothing and is bored all the time. :P No assassinations, no amazing killing skills and martial arts. A bit spoiled, honestly. ))

[Virus: What's to Come?] [Video]
The video shows the last remnants of an old roman ruin, near dusk, somewhere in southern Italy. A woman in a long dress with beautiful purple hair stands in the center of a cracked pavillion, her eyes on the sky. From the top of a nearby staircase Mireille appears, and the woman smiles.

"I've been waiting."

Mireille's eyes narrow as she descends the stairs, her pistol pointed at the woman. But just as she reaches the bottom, the purple-haired woman starts walking towards her, and Mireille freezes up, just staring at her. Her eyes are wide, uncertain, obviously filled with fear.

The woman stops a few feet away from Mireille and draws a knife from under her dress, pulling the blade from an ornate curved sheath.
"There is a Sicilian proverb...Revenge is the greatest act of forgiveness."

And then she charges Mireille, who seems to still be completely frozen. Just as the purple-haired woman reaches her, there is the distant sound of a gunshot, but she still plunges the blade into Mireille's stomach...

And the video cuts out.

Here, have a video shot of Mireille's apartment. Except it seems to be sideways, showing a bit of the pool table as if angled from the floor, a knocked over potted plant, a gash and several bullet holes in the wall, and various other bits of destruction.

Mireille walks into the frame, tossing her gun onto the pool table as she leans down to scoop up the plant, checking it over before she carefully sets it back on the windowsill. She is muttering to herself in french, but it is too quiet to make out. She has a deep cut, long cut down the back of her left arm, and a rapidly coloring bruise on her cheek, but seems to be ignoring them.

Finally she moves and picks up the laptop.

"So, Zelda decided to stop by and visit. She's...I don't know. She has magic again, I guess that's...something. She's out of her mind." As Mireille speaks, she sets the laptop down on the pool table again.

"I wasn't able to hurt her though. I shot her, I...I didn't want to but she wouldn't stop! And it just...started to heal, right there on the spot! And then she vanished..." Here, have some more angry muttering in French. "If anyone knows who is making her do this, I'd love to come along and...remove them."

(( OOC: Zelda's ongoing attacks continue, for whomever is next! ))

It has come to my attention that someone here on the community has the talent to...imbue, I suppose?...the ability to worldhop into an object. The one I heard about was a car for one of the members here, Mikaela.

Whoever it was that did this, I would very much like to hire you for a bit of work, if you don't mind. We can discuss price and such when you contact me.

[video] [Forward-dated to later in the evening.]
The Video kicks in with a crackle and a close up of Mireille's face. There is a pretty nasty cut on her left cheek, and dirt smudged across her forehead. Her left eye is going black and blue. She steps back with an angry sigh and tosses a handgun onto her pool table in front of the computer with a hollow sort of thud that indicates an empty clip.

"So, Azula decided to come and play with me." She mutters as she moves to drop down into her chair. She's cradling her left arm against her stomach, and it's pretty badly burned from the looks of it, from the back of her hand up past her elbow. "She burned down half a god damn city park."

"I didn't kill her, though let me tell you it was tempting." She reaches up and touches tenderly at her left eye with her good hand. "If anyone is going after her, I shot her in the shoulder. She'll be...slower, easier to catch. In theory."

"But, uh..." She lifts her left arm and reveals just how bad the burns are, and then presses it back into her stomach. For a moment she is silent, as if she's staring at nothing, and then she shakes her head faintly to clear it. "I kind of...need some help. And soon, 'cause I'm pretty sure I'm going into shock."

A question
As I become more adjusted to this place, I have noticed that there are many people from worlds that exist in my own world as works of fiction. Books, television shows, movies and the like. Some I am even familiar with.

And I have to wonder, others that are in the same situation as me...are you ever tempted to go and read the stories of these other worlds? In a sense, to know the future of the people you interact with here quite often?

Excuse me...?
Hi. I'm Mireille...I was wondering, can anyone explain exactly what this website community is? I began using my laptop this morning and the only place it would allow me to go is here. I've poked around a bit, and I would normally simply close it but, I cannot even run off my other system, it simply comes back to here...again. And Again.

This is becoming somewhat aggravating. I run an...internet business...and I cannot access my email or websites that I need to continue functioning. And it is far too early in the morning for this sort of nonsense. How can I return to my business and such?

And why did this place keep insisting I 'join'? I have done so now...it doesn't seem to have alleviated the problem.
