Thanks to the nature of this community, I seem to have inadvertently managed to get myself in the middle of a situation I'm not qualified to handle. It's hardly any of my business to interfere, but I'd rest easier knowing that something was being done about it.

Are there any counselor types around here who'd be willing to attempt talking to Mr. Karofsky?

Um, I don't think Dave will want to talk to any counselors. He's kind of a stubborn guy and he probably wants to do this on his own.

Then again, that's just going to lead to more harassing Kurt and Kurt really doesn't deserve that...

Believe me, lad, I've seen how stubborn Mr. Karofsky is. But it wouldn't hurt if he had someone who's been trained to deal with that sort of thing, in case someone managed to un-stubborn him for a few minutes.

Well, I hope you find someone. ...Tommy was a counselor during a virus where everyone was in high school. Would that count? I think he was pretty good.

I'm afraid I'm not acquainted with Tommy, but that seems as good a place to start as any.

Not me myself, but we have a lot of... uh... trained crisis counselors in my military, Anchors.

We've got our fair share at Starfleet, but considering the way this community works, I'm not sure it's possible to have one of ours talk to the lad.

I've been testing some of what I've been told about this place, and so far I haven't managed to make it show itself to anyone in my crew who's not already here.

He's in an extremely volatile state. He feels as though he's let himself, perhaps his family, and his friends down. It's a horrible position to be in, and now to bring Kurt into it-- it's hard to know what to do. I've tried my best to support Kurt and to offer Karofsky any knowledge I might have, but as many others have said, he is simply stubborn. I would think any more prodding at him could prove to make Kurt's life more difficult.

Which is why I'm seeking out a trained professional, lad. Someone with the right training will know better than any of us how to approach Mr. Karofsky in a way he doesn't feel threatened or inclined to take his anger out on Mr. Hummel.
