Forgive me for the strange question but...

What is a 'yaoi' and where may I purchase one?

Elloran, love, be a dear and lend me the use of thirty or so of your planets. I'd rather not have them destroyed - ah, you still use the term fall beyond, do you not? - in your time rather than mine, but there's no way of knowing how our time compares to that of the main community. Lets see...Zeta Phi S340, Tau Lamda D32, Darion 5...[He proceeds to list of the coordinates of another thirty planets, with the apparent assumption that Elloran will know what he's refrencing.]

And to cut short that tedious business of whether or not you will help me...

History there is, and No History. Sh'zali Knot. First move: Destroyer to Level 4. Second move, Pawn sacrifice. Third, exchange of Sens on Fifth Level. Fourth: Destroyer Check, Sacrifice, and Inquestor Mate in Five Moves. Don't say you wouldn't lose, you know you avoid sacrifices at every opportunity. But I won't tell my younger self your weakness if you send me the tokens promptly. Consider it my insurance.

And with that settled, the real game can start. It has been so long since I've had a worthy opponent...I should thank you all for offering me a challenge that I could never take in my own damaged universe.

[[ooc: Karakael has put up one of the more basic locks against Mir. She'll easily be able to break it if she puts her mind to it...which is half the point, as the text gives the locations of 30 minor worlds in the Inquest universe, all of them common sacrificial worlds.]

poor choices
Dear Community,

I have a...friend who has recently fallen under the influence of someone unsuitable. Ever since they met and became close he's...changed. Become darker, somehow.

Once he was my mentor but now...I fear for him, and I fear that darkness and hedonism will take over his heart.

I know it is his choice who he loves and who he allies himself with, but...is it not my duty as a friend and a protegee to urge him against such a dangerous course of action?

I fear for what might happen if that...creature gets a hold of him. The whole Inquest might quake with what they could do together...

What should I do? Should I let him go, or urge him to reconsider?

[Is Elloran talking about Kefka? Actually no. But there's no way for the community to know that, is there?]

So recently Kaaree subjected me to some crystallized plays...ah, I suppose they are called "movies"? Yes. Earthling movies.

And after a long argument on whether the term "unobtanium" was terrifying and poetic or foolish and idiotic, I realized that none of your worlds have the concept of "una". Roughly translated it means "the thing for which I will destroy you".
Skipable Linguistics Rant )

In the end, I wonder if the other worlds that connect here have yet to encounter many cases of this archetypal destructive need. Or perhaps our inevitable lust for power and glory simply plays out over smaller stages.

My people have long accepted this, encapsulating the fall behind the words "The Inquest Always Finds A Way", but I hope that the battle against apathy and destruction is still being fought on your worlds.

A quick question.

Several members here have mistakenly thought my first name was "Ton" - an honorific associated with my status as Inquestor.

Which makes me wonder; what kind of honorifics do you have in your worlds? And if you do not have many, how does your society function without knowing peoples place and duties?

Thank you for your answers!

How can one politely tell an Inquestor-to-Be to think harder? This is the fourth one who cannot solve a simple makrugh puzzle. I understand I am more difficult than my predecessors, but when one plays this game one expects puzzles!

Bah. Simplifying things for fools was never my forte. Does anyone have suggestions for easy riddles? Then I can just send them on to Kaaree and let him harangue them into quitting. I don't have the heart to disappoint them.

Perhaps this is a foolish question to ask now, but have none of you had training in recognizing and protecting against devices and poisons that alter one's mind?

With the proper training, it is not hard to recognize when one is missing time, friends, or history. For example, I know I have forgotten someone close to me, for when I visited my palace there was music constantly playing that I did not recognize, and a wing devoted to a man I did not know.

Either another Inquestor is manipulating me, or it is the community. But thanks to that knowledge, I can protect against injuring those who have also become the victim of this cruel trick. Its a useful skill, dependent mostly upon observation, and I would be willing to teach others.

[ooc: He's forgotten his boyfriend, Sen Sajit, the greatest musician in the galaxy.]

Telendara has been destroyed.

Of the two and a half billion souls that inhabited it, three hundred survived.

Had I...[his voice breaks]...Had I been stronger, I might have saved them.
