005. I think.
Oddly humbling what this place can connect to, for example...

IC cut? There is none )

I had no idea English slang could get this complicated, let alone in a few decades or so.

... As long as I'm in a coherent state of mind.

Is there... any natural ways to keep yourself awake? Aside from coffee? Or am I just kind of giving into a false hope that I can find some sort of natural stimulant without falling over twitching.

The dark room I have is starting to give me a headache, and I have a deadline to catch for a magazine.
Current Mood: awake. finally.

Sleep, child, Lie in peace
Sleep, child, Lie in peace
If you cry, the boat you'll ride
The last trip to the other side
Once you get there
Sacred marks you'll bear
They shall be peeled off
Should you fail to lie still

Sleep, child, Lie in peace
Sleep, child, Lie in peace
If the priestess wakes from her dream
Perform the rite of stakes
Her limbs pinned tight
Lest the doors open wide
And suffering unleashed on all

[ooc; SO, HEY. Here's the thing! She's cursed, and she's also really narcoleptic, so this post will include creepy rambling, poor grammar, and pretty much Rei exposing her curse. Basically, she's half awake. Her timeline is now... let's say... Hm. She's just found out about Kei being in the manor, so. Yes. Life sucks, creepy hand maidens are tormenting me )':]

I haven't given it much time or consideration, but I realize this is the Western time of Halloween, yes? We have something similar to that in Japan, called Obon. Although, that is more a summer holiday in July. There's also Dia de Los Muertos (did I spell this right? I'm sorry if I didn't), which is very similar to Obon. It's curious to know that with each little culture, there is a holiday to commemorate the dead or ancestors returning to the land of the living. Is Halloween still like that?

I don't quite understand how costumes and candy are incorporated into it. But... that's fine.

But that draws up to my conclusion. Is the belief of ghosts and demons popular amongst others? Do you feel that ghosts can bring a feeling back that is so powerful, it will ripple into the lives of the living? How does someone feel about ghosts being "vengeful"? Any answer and any view is helpful, don't think for a moment that doesn't. It's always interesting to view other viewpoints.
