This community brings a lot of people together from a lot of different worlds. In time, sometimes in not very much time, friendships are made across worlds.

But...say you made friends with someone, and then you found out something bad about them. Something that made you question ever talking to them in the first place. How would you feel? What would you do?

I'm sorry if this is something you would rather not talk about or if it brings up painful memories. But I think I need some perspective on something and this is the best option I have.

Hmm. I guess I'd confront them about it and get to the bottom of it. Depends on the problem, really, but I'd at least be honest with my feelings on the whole thing.

If there's a problem, it's best to solve it at the root. If there's something about them that bothers you, so much that you question knowing them, then figure out why they did what they did, or why they are what they are. You know, get an honest conversation out of all of it.

But I guess, if it was me...depends on what kind of person they are. I mean, even good people do some awful things now and then. Right?

Well then you have two options.

1 - Don't make friends.

2 - Accept that most people have dark sides.

It's not really your job to forgive them, is it? Unless you're the one being wronged. But that doesn't mean you can't voice your opinion on what they do.

You beat the shit out of their ass if they're something you can't stand. You beat 'em 'till yer not mad no more and can put up with 'em , or 'till you got it out of your system and you can walk away and say "fuck 'em."

This place'll put you together physically somehow, somewhere, definitely. If you ask, someone'll usually give you a ride, too... But if hitting them really won't help, then just say fuck 'em and walk away. You only really gotta take it out on 'em if they're important.

Then by logic...if you want to take it out on them, even if you don't know how, that means they're important?

I think...even if someone has done bad things, if you're friends with them, than there must be something good about them, and that's worth saving, even if they're not as perfect as they seemed.

Does that make sense?
