It's all right, I guess. But what brought this up?

Nothing, really. It's just one of the few things I'm really into, I guess, and it gets kinda boring just practicing on your own after a while.

[shiningwaters]

So you're looking for someone to practice with you?

[seasaltzombie]

If they want to, sure. Even just seeing if I'm not the only one who likes doing it'd work for me.

[shiningwaters]

That does sound like a good idea.

Well, aside from keeping the Heartless down and making sure that Sora's still okay there's not too much to do on my end. So I might as well keep up with my hobby, right?

How are things on your end, anyway? Have you been to any new worlds lately?

[shiningwaters]

Well, I've been competing in a fighting competition. The last champion was Terra, and the people here think he might come back, so I might be able to meet up with him again.

[seasaltzombie]

A fighting competition, huh? It's been a while since I've been to a world with one of those. Man, I hope they're right about Terra, though. You think he'll come back to defend his title?

[shiningwaters]

I hope so. He usually was that way when we were training together.

[seasaltzombie]

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Come to think of it, it must be something seeing you two fight, seeing as how you've been training with your Keyblades for years and all.

[shiningwaters]

Our last match during the exam was very tough. Eventually, Master Eraqus called it a draw.

[seasaltzombie]

Whoa. Did it go on that long or something?

[shiningwaters]

He and Master Xehanort were more interested in seeing our skills than who would win. When it was clear that we couldn't overpower each other, they had to stop the match.

[ ... wait hang on he knows that name-- ]

Wait - Master Xehanort?

[shiningwaters]

Yes. Is there a problem?

[OOC: I'm totally cool with a canon derail here.]

Well-- I dunno, there might be. The only Xehanort I know of caused a whole lot of trouble for the worlds. Remember what I told you about all the Heartless suddenly appearing around ten years ago? He was the one who caused all that. I mean, I guess it could just be someone with the same name, but...

... it seems like a bit too much of a coincidence.

And what are the odds of two people with the same name like that?

Everything started when he came for the Mark of Mastery exam. Terra had never shown any sign of darkness before that. And Ven had been Master Xehanort's student until an accident.

What - you mean he was Ven's teacher? Seriously?

... I don't like this, Aqua. This is giving me a really bad feeling. You think maybe he's trying to use Terra's darkness for something?

[shiningwaters]

Ven had lost his memory when Master Xehanort brought him to us. He said it was an accident and that Ven needed someone better suited to teaching to help him.

I don't know. If they are the same person somehow, then maybe. But then, what was he planning with Ven?

Sounds suspicious to me.

... I dunno. The Xehanort I've heard about, and his Nobody - they were both after Kingdom Hearts, I think. But I don't know how that fits with whatever he's doing to Terra and Ven, if it really is him doing it.

[shiningwaters]

I don't know either. And it's really starting to worry me. Even if they're not related, what could Master Xehanort gain by trying to turn Terra to darkness?

[seasaltzombie]

I don't know, Aqua. I wish I could tell you, but the only person I know who got turned to darkness by someone and managed to turn it into something good afterward doesn't really like me. If he did, I'd probably go ask him what he thought.

I have to find Terra, then. I need to warn him. And Ven.

[seasaltzombie]

Right.

I - do you want any help? Maybe we could cover more ground if we work together.

[shiningwaters]

Yes, thank you. If I can't meet up with Terra here, I'll try another world.
