Geez, I don't know why Luna's being so cranky now.. Just since you popped up and this weird string she suddenly got all mad out of nowhere!

[ A pout. Sure, she's used to Luna being cranky sometimes, but this almost seems sort of extreme.. ]

[She rubs the back of her neck with a sigh. That cat... Kirika's sure that cat keeps looking at her like she was some kind of dangerous animal.]

I guess she must just randomly be grumpy.

[ Not like Luna can talk and explain in front of Kirika, after all, so she just watches the cat jump out of her room's window onto the roof and walking away for now. Oh well, not like she minds being in her room alone with Kirika. ]

I'm glad mom believed it though when I said you were just some friend from school! Hehe, I didn't know how else to explain it.. [ And luckily she didn't notice the string. ]

Yes, that's right! And she said she was happy to see I made a new friend! [ ... ] Except then she said 'if you were as good at studying as you are at making friends your grades wouldn't be so bad'.. [ Her tone drops. ]

[ She gasps! Not really that she's judging the other girl though, maybe more amazed she gets away with it.. ]

You mean you never go to school?!

[She shrugs and rubs the back of her neck.]

Not often. It really isn't my kind of place. [Beat.] I go when I'm forced, though.

.. W.. well, it isn't really my kind of place too, I mean.. I'm no good at studying at all, but I like hanging out with my friends there, that's why I go! That, and Mama would be super mad if I didn't.

Don't you want to go there with your friends..?

My classmates are one of the reasons I don't want to go. I couldn't call them my friends. [Usagi is really from a different way of life... She sounds like Oriko.] But I do have friends! I have Oriko and now I have Usagi!

.. Huh? You're saying you didn't any other friends, just that Oriko girl?

[ INJUSTICE. Usagi's philosophy is that everyone should be friends with everyone, so people being friendless is impossible! But then again, isn't it her job to make those people not friendless..? ]

Then I'll be your friend for sure, yes! We'll become really good friends, don't worry!

[ Honestly, Usagi just accepted the whole string thing - even if it came out of nowhere, it was fun to get a new friend, right? It's what she's focused on so much that she can't even find it weird. ]

Hehe, we can do so many fun things..! We can eat cake together and read manga-- oh, and I can show the arcade! The guy that works there is so cute..! [ HAPPILY HUGGING HER BACK. Honestly, no problems here, this all sounds great. ]

We can eat sweets and have sleepovers and it'll be so much fun!

Sleepovers?! Does that mean we'll get to stay up all night? [ shiny eyes..! .. but wait. ] But I like sleep too.. oh no, this choice is so difficult!

R.. really?! But there's no way Mama will let me skip school, she'd scold me so much if I would ever skip..! She already gets mad when I'm just late!

... [ Her look turns a little more down, and she gives a nod. ] W-.. well, it's true that Mama really does care about me, and I'm glad she does.. even at times where it's annoying.

A.. ah, I'm sorry! [ She sniffs, wiping her face a little before she tries to look a little better. ]
