dramadramaduck | [video] 5:02 PM. The Doctor dies... or does he?

[The feed seems very confused today, Ducks. It seems to be glitching, different bits and pieces of video filtering through. It all seems very cobbled together and disjointed, as if it can't seem to settle on one point in time to show. That's fairly understandable as all of time is happening all at once. No matter what day or location the feed tunes in on it's always 5:02 in the afternoon on April the 22nd. Nothing seems right, in fact it all just seems very very wrong and out of place.

Charles Dickenson being interviewed on television... pterodactyls flying through a London park... a pyramid in Egypt with an American flag painted on it...

Winston Churchill speaking to a bearded man in a toga...

Wait, that bearded man looks familiar. Could it be the Doctor? He looks bewildered for a moment before the feed changes again, showing him on a train, back in his suit and bow tie as he talks to a redhead wearing an eye patch. It changes again, showing the bearded Doctor chained in the Tower of London.

Another change and we see him wearing an eye patch, being restrained as he tries desperately to hold onto River's hand. There's a flash and suddenly they're on a beach, the Doctor facing an astronaut holding their glove out as if to shoot him. In another flash they're separated and he growls in frustration.]

I'm sorry, River. It's the only way!

[River rubs her wrist where his hand had formerly been clinging, turning to look at him. The one eye not hidden beneath the patch burning as she stares at him] Cuff him

[As two armed men pull his arms behind his back and cuff him] Ohh Why do you always have handcuffs?

[The feed shifts again, this time showing an eye patched Rory speaking with the Doctor in front of a tank filled with blue liquid and a creepy looking alien"]

Your boss, you should just ask her out. She likes you. She said so.

Really, sir? What did she say?

Ah she just sort of generally indicated.

What exactly did she say?

She said that you were a Mr. Hottie Nurse and she would like to out with you for... texting and scones.

You really haven't done this before, have you?

No I haven't.

[The feed changes once more to show Rory, River, Amy and the Doctor standing on a rooftop around what looks to be a satellite dish. The eye patches have vanished. Eleven looks around at the faces around him, knowing this has to end. This has to stop here. He can't let the world collapse because of HIM.]

I can't let you die without knowing you are loved by so many and so much. [She pauses, her voice cracking as tears fall from her eyes] And by no one more than me.

River you and I, we know what this means. [the desperation rises in his voice. He'd gesture, plead with her but his hands are still cuffed behind him] We are ground zero for an explosion that will engulf all reality. Billions on billions will suffer and die.

I'll suffer if I have to kill you.

More than any living thing in the universe?!

Yes.

[He looks at her for a moment, realizing that she's speaking the absolute truth. He squeezes his eyes shut] River... River... River. Why do you have to be this? Melody Pond. [He looks to Rory and Amy.] I hope you're both proud.

[Rory leans in and whispers to Amy] I'm not sure I completely understand.

Um we got married and had a kid and that's her.

... Okay.

Amy uncuff me, now. [She moves over and does as he asked. As soon as he's free he spins around, rubbing his hands together] Okay. I need a strip of cloth about a foot long, anything will do. [a thought strikes him] Never mind. [He unties his bow tie, pulling it off] River take one end of this. Wrap it around your hand, then hold it out to me. [As she's doing so he wraps the other side around his own hand]

What am I doing?

As you're told. Now. In a bit of a combat zone so we'll have to do the quick version. Captain Williams: Say "I consent and gladly give."

[Rory gives him a confused look] To what?

Just say it! Please.

I consent and gladly give.

I need you to say it, too. [He glances over at the pair] As the mother of the bride.

[She pauses for just a moment as she realizes what's happening] I consent and gladly give.

Now, River. I'm about to whisper something in your ear and you're to remember it very very carefully and tell no one what I said. [He leans in and whispers something. When he leans back he glances at Rory and Amy before back at River.] I've just told you my name. [River's eyes widen a little as she stares at him. He smiles briefly as he keeps talking] Now. There you go, River Song. Melody Pond. You're the woman who married me. And, wife, I have a request. This world is dying and it's my fault and I can't bear it another day. Please, help me. There isn't another way.

[After a moment's hesitation] Then you may kiss the bride.

I'll make it a good one.

You'd better.

[the Doctor pulls River closer with the tie binding them together. Their lips touch and for a moment it's nothing but a loving kiss. It's only for a moment, however. Suddenly the feed seems to shimmer, like a TV flipping channels. It flits back and forth between their kiss and the beach before finally focusing on the events on the shores of Lake Silencio, Utah. Back on the beach River - the astronaut - shoots the Doctor with a green beam of energy. He falls, but manages to struggle back to to his feet. He looks at her for a moment before extending his arms, a golden light surrounding him as the regeneration starts. Before it can fully engulf him, however, she shoots him again and he falls down... dead.]

((OOC: Eleven, River, Rory and Amy. Replies will come from River and Rory since, well, the Doctor is a little indisposed...))

It's...a bit complicated. I think River explained it best.

And you would be... [A few seconds to connect the dots.] ... The father of the bride?

[He nods.]

That's right.

Like I said; complicated.

I can't help thinking I missed out on knowing a heck of a man. Don't suppose that if he's alive somewhere else in time, he could come to your--[On second thought, those two can't be in the same time, can they? He doesn't look nearly old enough to be her father.]--to her time and sweep her off of her feet like nothing happened.

Again...that's complicated.

I think River will still be seeing him. A younger him. [And of course there's the matter of the other Doctor on the community.]

A younger him? Well, since he's a Time Traveler, that might be the easiest part to understand about all this yet...

Really wish it hadn't posted all of this to the community, though.

Come to think of it, it looks like a sci-fi at first, but in the end it might be more of a family drama...

It's a little bit of both, really.

This place is famous for airing people's laundry out in the open breeze. Guess I'm really just nosing into that, too.

I should at least introduce myself. I'm Nicholas D. Wolfwood. I'd only known the groom in passing, but your daughter seems to be a strong woman. You must have done--[Damn it, time hi-jinx.]--must do something to be proud of in raising her.

That's alright. None of use really have any control over what gets posted here sometimes.

I'm Rory. Rory Williams. We...well, we didn't get the chance to raise her. Not in the traditional sense, at least. But we're still proud of her, of course.

Ah, that's right, you two probably haven't even had her yet. I guess it's jumping the gun a little to praise your parenting now.

[oh boy.]

No, actually we have. She was taken from us, though.

[Oh boy, indeed. His expression and shoulders sink.] This really is a long running family drama, watching your lost daughter get penned up for saving the world... How long has she been gone for you?

[Rory looks resigned, really.]

It's been a few months now.

And this is how you find out she's alive.

It looks like he knew who you were and who she was... Did you just find out who she was? What about her with the two of you?
