How the hell do you get rid of hiccups? I tried holding my breath and it's not working.

Stand on your head and swallow.

The hiccups? W-well I've never had them myself, but sometimes Lan gets them when he eats too fast... I've heard a scare works. Or a glass of water.

Just drink a full glass of water without breathing. The time you'll spend not breathing, and keeping your throat busy with water will make them go away.
