I have a question for the world hoppers on the community.  Is there a certain sort of magic or technology that you're able to use?  And how unstable is the travel between different dimensions?  I'm doing research so any help on your end would be greatly appreciated.

Uh. I've got a portal to another dimension in my linen closet, I think that counts. It's stable enough...I think.

Not worldhopper, but very curious. I have passing knowledge of quantum mechanics. Many-worlds interpretation explains paradoxes of quantum decoherence and wave-function collapse through proposed existence of infinite worlds.

However, I am troubled by true definition of "infinite". Some worlds I have seen evidence of seem outside laws of nature of Earth. "Infinite" is assumed to remain within boundaries of plausible, regardless of deviation from accepted norm on my Earth. In other words, different is not same thing as impossible, and many worlds that appear on community obey the impossible.

I would severely warn any one against using my method of worldhopping. While it is possible to use the corridor left behind after any trip through the Overcosm, to do so requires a huge amount of power. And traveling the Overcosm itself is quite dangerous in its own right. It has taken me several centuries to even become close to proficient at such journeys.

As I imagine that you have no desire to become lost in either the future or the past, I would hope you could find a safer way to travel between universes.

Though, to answer your first question, my universe uses technological means of transport.

Yes, I am a witch. The heiress to the Scarlet Arts, in fact~ I have not run into any problems preparing the spell at all. It just takes a while to complete, and I ran out of dragon scales in the process. It should be completed soon, in fact.

I once had the many-worlds theorem explained to me as such: any world one can imagine is possible and therefore exists, while any world one can’t imagine is impossible, and does not exist. Expand upon that concept with each ‘possible’ universe creating more ‘possible’ universes, and one comes to the conclusion that there exists and almost infinite multiverse. Yet it cannot truly be infinite, for there are some things that we cannot even dream of.

Of course, this was explained to me by a short red head with a penchant for lies who believed that the number of possible universes was stationary at 6^6^6, so my words must be taken with a grain of salt.

Binds time? Not quite. The Overcosm is a physical representation of the future. It exists upon a different plain than the 'normal' universe, and is accessible only to the very few creatures who can understand it.

The Tacheon is similar, but instead of the future, it represents the past. Unlike the Overcosm anyone may access it, but can only travel on specific corridors.
