My concern over Swindle's sudden disapperance has got me wondering. To anyone who bothers to concern themselves with such things.

Why do you care about and value friendship? What makes such a thing important to you?

Having friends means you're not alone, and that they're not alone either. It's not so much having people share one's pain as it is to share one's happiness... I'm sorry, I'm not making much sense, am I?

I've never considered a lack of friends a hardship.

It's difficult to find someone to lean on when one's....comrades are either insanely uncontrollable, blindly loyal to the point that they're annoying or they're only after furthering their own power.

That sounds like you have the wrong friends. Friends are meant to be able to give you some happiness, and be there for you when you need them. I guess that a lack of friends might not be a hardship for some, but it depends a lot on what kind of person you are.
