Of course I have a purpose. But if you want to know what that purpose is, then that's something different.
If that's true, then I have more than nine lives anyways.
I just dislike humans in general, so I want to know how much I should have to interact with them.

What do you have against humans, anyway?
It's a human who was supposed to be brought back using alchemy. But instead of the person you wanted, you get a monster, an assortment of body parts that's barely alive. Give it a few thousand souls in the form of a crimson stone and you get a creature born of malice, destruction, and sin. A homunculus.
400 years of taking their shit kind of makes one bitter. Circumstances in my past. Lots of things. If they'd all die, I sure as hell wouldn't complain.
Mm. I guess I'll have to see, if I'm still like this four hundred years down the line.
You'll at least see the truths of humanity if you already haven't.

I was human for quite a few years. I still remember it. It wasn't that bad.
Oh? Then why is it that for not being someone else, a human abandons another? Or maybe how they use each other? They're all hypocrites and what they fear, they hate. Difference is as bad as a, heh, sin sometimes. I absolutely can't stand them anymore.
So you don't like humans because they're not virtuous enough? Isn't that kind of hypocritical too?
Not usually. The ways people lose their hearts vary, so for some of the others it could be someone else's fault, I guess. *shrug*
No, I hate them because they deny it. I'm a sinner, sure. I've accepted that for a long time. But humans are sometimes more cruel than those they call monsters, and then they're foolish enough to think themselves still safe or pure. Sin rules all people's hearts. Those who can accept it...well, then they're worth my time.
