The only thing I can offer you is understanding that I know how you feel. Many a time I was forced to kill those I had grown an attachment to. This is the only semblance of sympathy you may gain from me. This was an inevitability, and it is not my fault if you were caught in the crossfire.

My issue was with him alone. I have no personal problems with Issei, though I can safely say that my Master is an annoyance I could do without... Still, neither of them were intended to be harmed in any way by this, though I cannot weep over the fact their hearts may have been caught within it.

Letting him know that Emiya Shirou was dead was an attempt to save him time and inevitably finding out with his own eyes. I wouldn't put it as crude as you have, but you have summed up my feelings on the subject. I had one goal in traveling through time, and now that it is complete I have nothing else to care about.

[Yet... there is still something there. A void within Archer. He completed his task and he's still here, so it did fail... but maybe he does regret it. Maybe, once he experiences the full backlash, he'll understand.]
