Here's to the lack of strong coffee and abundance of sentimental women. If you've ever had the experience, I pity you. I am there at the moment, and I have to admit...it's not pleasant.

I do not believe we belong to the same universe. Though the story sounds rather similar. The Kingdom of Dalmasca was as well taken over by the Empire...though I dare say, a different dictatorship than the one you speak of.

Oh they certainly do, I assure you. Coffee, however, is the key to survival. It keeps one awake long enough to put up a pretense of listening to the sentimental tales.
