[When the video turns on, Tidus isn't smiling. He doesn't even appear energetic. Instead, he seems to stare at something else, something that's not there. After a few seconds of that, he scratches the back of his head awkwardly, bites the corner of his lip, and starts to speak.]

What are you supposed to do when you find out you're made up? Hypothetically. And if you knew that if you kept going on the same route, you would-- you wouldn't be there for the party, but it's to save someone you care about, so you would still do it, wouldn't you?

I guess, I thought maybe since it's a community and everything, and there are other worlds and all, maybe someone somewhere has some experience in it.

She's just a fairy tale in my world. There's not a real Cinderella.

Obviously there is a real Cinderella. If she's on here, she's just as real as the rest of us!

Why not? Haven't you ever wondered about that? It seems like something people would wonder about.

Like...a dream. Just as an idea, of course.

As long as you believe and feel that you're real, I don't think it should matter too much.

Do you think that's all it takes? I have to wonder, how much of those feelings would be real? It gives me a headache.

... What makes something truly real, to you?

That depends on what you would define as 'made up'. You are present and able to think and feel for yourself, so I am not sure what you are talking about.

Though as for the rest of it, I personally would do anything for those that matter to me. Even if it would mean my death.

Someone whose thoughts weren't conjured up by some powerful force that wanted to play pretend. Someone whose life wasn't predetermined...or probably. I guess what I mean is, the decisions they made and feelings they had were theirs, and not a figment of someone's imagination.

Are they really my thoughts and feelings though? If most of my life was dreamed up, aren't any thoughts and feelings just based on someone else's? Where do my real thoughts start?

Yeah. Me too. I'll do anything to keep Yuna alive and happy. Those stupid Fayth, they probably know that.

But how can you be sure that creation doesn't have their own free will? Maybe their creator imagined them up because they wanted them to be real.

[swordplay]

That would be pretty cruel, but I wouldn't put that past them.

Why is it cruel to bring life to an idea?

[... granted, there are some ideas that should have never even been thought of, but still]

It's not cruel to bring an idea to life, but bringing someone to life just to kill them off is.

... Your initial question doesn't seem very hypothetical anymore.

I do not know about that. Even if you are somehow replicated from another source, you are still an individual all your own. The fact that you worry about such a thing should be proof enough of that.

Is that decision not one made of your own will?

I-it's totally hypothetical! It's a very comple hypothetical question.

I guess so. I don't care about them anyway! Whatever they thought of, they didn't make me care about Yuna or anyone else. That's what matters.

It is, but they're still stupid.
