[ So Yayoi's been pretty excited about her team all forming up, and the revelations that she had been told. How the queen had sent them their powers and how Candy was sent to find them. It was here that Miyuki brought them into a huddle as Majorina sort of stared at them ignoring them.]

Everyone let's go!

[And there's a loud chorus as they proclaim, Precure! Smile Charge!]

[One transformation sequence later, the girls roll into their introductions, and then the final bit on it: the group line!]

SPARKLE! SMILE PRECURE!

[Team pose! All is good, right?

Wrong.

Seconds later, a pop can missile slams into their team and blows them all away, leaving the girls dazed and sprawled in ungainly positions on the ground.]

A sneak attack isn't nice...!

[Ladies and gentlemen, the new team of Smile Pretty Cure: five derps in a row. Having to be rescued by Pop with his ninja transformation powers. How utterly humiliating.]

It's kinda silly that the power makes you do the pose when you first transform, but as soon as you can move again it's a good idea to do it.

A-actually we thought up the group pose. We tried out a few things before Miyuki came up with that one. [Sheepish.] And the team name too.

It did, though I'm really kinda sore from getting shot.

Oh! Sorry I didn't update my journal last night but we got Reika! She's our student council president! She's blue too. [Yayoi doesn't realize the IRONY in this.]

Well, the first one is, but then we made up the team pose and name and I guess we held it too long...

Ah thank you Steve, I just, well... yeah. It's kinda embarrassing to find out it got broadcasted. It was our first team fight after all.

[ Staring for a little while.. ]

... Well, that didn't exactly look like it was a huge success, huh.

N-not really magnificent for our first opening as a group, no...

I'm fine, just a little bruised. That Akanbe took us by surprise when we spent too long on the team pose.

Does the pose serve a purpose?

Well it announces our team name, something we all decided on. The first pose is involuntary, our magic does it for us. But the actual team one is something we all worked hard on.

It's why you shouldn't spend that much time on posing as a team and all. Ya gotta leap straight to action, take it from me!

I see. Well, maybe you could consider incorporating a bit of, well, defensive stances into it. Tweak it a little.

Hmmm that sounds like an idea. Or increase our reaction time, and get ready because the Akanbe won't certainly wait around much.

You think so? We did work pretty hard on the team pose but if we got ready faster... the first introduction we can't skip, the magic makes it involuntary.

... Huh, really? You guys have to introduce yourselves?

Yes, we do. I guess it's just how we are really.

Not a bad idea either, to maybe work on both. There's always something that can be improved, in anything anyone does.

That's true! I'm sure we can be in motion as soon as we're done the team pose and all. And then we can take it by surprise instead!

I dunno, I never bothered to introduce myself to any monster's ass I was about to kick. What would the use be?
