I turn my back for a few days and things here go straight to hell.

Everywhere I look there are miniskirts, which would be fine with me if all of those miniskirts were on the right people.

Not to mention the campy bad guys, purple gowns, and would-be charmers...my influence should be more affected this time around.

And how about those nudist monks.

And...where are you Spotty?

Though according to my sources I've been out of this game for more than just a few days...so I'm guessing I just missed out on one whopper of a virus.

There was...a very difficult virus, not too long ago.

One of the infamous community viruses.

[Go on. He'll just be tapping the keg for a beverage, and once he's filled up a mug he'll hand it off to Diarmuid.]

Not one I just missed I'm assuming.

[he'll just drain that in one go because holy shit, he needed that.]

Slightly less recent. This one led those affected to live through terrible fates, up to and including their own deaths.

[Diarmuid looked away at that, clearly recalling something very unpleasant.]

...I had to kill someone. A friend. When the virus wore off, she came back, and I--I couldn't bring myself to tell her the truth when I realized she didn't remember.

It isn't very nice to tease people when they don't need it, though. Or, um, at all. I don't think.

[And since there are refills aplenty it's not a problem.

Cu, for his part, is drinking, but he seems to be paying more attention to what was being told to him and how to rightly respond to those words.]

I see, but it's something that still haunts you though the virus was just a twisted, made up illusion...she doesn't remember it though. [Delicate situations are always so difficult.] I don't know what would be the best thing to do in this situation...have you been able to talk all of your feelings about it out?

Teasing is what I do, especially when people don't need it. When someone's having problems sometimes it's best to act normal in order to make them feel normal. For me this is normal.

It's a delicate situation. One few people completely comprehend.

[Sighing, Diarmuid took a small, dark object out of his pocket. He handled it like it was made of glass and he worried it'd break, or perhaps just like it was something of incredible importance.]

People like her, with her powers...when they fall to despair, their soul becomes corrupt and shatters. They turn into the very monsters they hunt--witches, spreading despair and devastation.

I had the same powers she did, thanks to another virus some time ago. So I understand--I realize how little-known a fact like that is. She has no idea she ever became a witch, and doesn't realize that she can.

...And coward that I am, I haven't the heart to tell her the truth.

[And Cu will drain his glass too, what a difficult thing to comment on. As an outsider he can only respond to the dilemma the way he sees it.]

You're not being cowardly you're being kind...you could tell her, but what if her soul doesn't become corrupt...then you would have placed the burden of that knowledge on her for no reason...[and as he's giving himself another refill]...on the other hand forewarned is forearmed...if she has that kind of potential then maybe she should be told so that she can be conscious of it...but you know, happiness is a special thing too even if it's just for now.

You do have a difficult decision to make though [have an amused snort here] it always seems to be you though, huh?

...heh. it's beginning to seem that way, isn't it?
