[At first, there's only fuzzy voices, static blocking most of the words.]

Crap!! It's the guards.

It's a raid! Run!!

We'd better scram! Hurry!

Okay!

[And then the static became too strong to hear anything, though the occasional footstep makes it through.

And then, Raenef's voice comes back in.]

We meet again. How did you get up there? I wanna get up there too...

[More static, though it stops soon enough and video finally clicks on. Raenef is a bit in the distance, sitting, looking tired. There's another man with him but only his black hair is on screen.]

I wonder if the others are all right...? I'm sure they're fine.

[As if on cue, guards can be seen walking in the distance. Their voices barely reach the feed.]

I heard they caught the Guild leader.

[And just before the video shuts off, Raenef's eyes widen as he jumps to his feet, moving closer to the guards.]

[ooc: Blue font belongs to the thief's guild, red for the guards, and Raenef gets the normal text. Also, canon update!]

[Huh? That guy who tricked him again. The book had gone blank so he wasn't sure why he kept it on him except his picture was in there. Still, he finally had time to answer.]

[Rather than asking where is now, he'll try to figure out if he's in hiding or destitution by the video background.]

[That's changed drastically. Now, instead of a town, he looked like he was in castle. Though banners hung on the walls, nothing suggested any other furniture.

But that was because he's in a hallway.]

But they're all okay!

What just happened?

[The reply comes a bit later. Behind Raenef, Roxas can now make out the stone walls of a castle.]

They caught our leader but Eclipse saved him. He's okay.

And oh, I'm a demon lord now. [He's supposed to say that.]

Are you okay..?

[didiscareyouyet]

[Oh! He was hoping he would get to talk to her again.

Now, when he answers with video, there's a large castle behind him, rather than an old city.]

I'm okay, Eclipse saved everybody and now, I'm something cool, too! I'm a demon lord.

[ he opens his mouth to say he's glad things turned out alright, but then Raenef had to go and drop that last bombshell. ]

A... demon lord? [ whut. ]

[didiscareyouyet]

I don't know what all it means yet but I do get to live in a castle and get free food. When I get back to it, I'll show you my room and all the books I'm supposed to read. [It's a big castle and he's new there, okay? He'll find his way back, soon.]

[kukuku]

A demon lord!? [ FABULOUS THEY CAN PLAY TOGETHER. ] Kukuku, a most devious plot twist!

Did you get a castle when you became a vampire?

Eh? [Mood whiplash.] Really?

[He turns the screen around, showing the stone walls, the tapestry hung in the hallways cause where the heck is his room?]

And free food! I don't know what I have to do yet but it's probably just the usual demon lord stuff, like fighting knights.

[He holds the book out to show off the castle.]

Eclipse saved everybody. [But then the book turns back toward him. The next part is serious.]

They were about to kill us and he jumped down and stopped them all. That's why I'm here, he told me I'm the next demon lord so I get to live in the castle.

A-Are you really a demon lord? They just gave you everything!?

You didn't get a castle, then? [You so got cheated.] I'd let you come to mine but I don't know if Crusaders like vampires. I'll find out!

Well, being a lord usually means you're in charge of people. Or... demons, I guess. What is a demon, anyway?

[didiscareyouyet]

[He has to think about this for a second.]

I have Crusaders that guard the castle. They're like really scary monsters so I'm going to try to stay away from them.

Demons are just... they're the things that kidnap princesses and burn villages. They're really scary, too. [So he's obviously a good fit.]

[ UH...... ]

Raenef, that's bad. Really bad. How did you end up getting put in charge of people like that? Can't you stop them, or refuse or something?

[didiscareyouyet]

[He sounds unsure. He doesn't think he's supposed to stop them.]

The only one I've met so far is Eclipse and he saved all of us.

He did? Oh... [ huh. ]

But still... doesn't it bother you even a little bit? Knowing you're supposed to be in charge of people that do stuff like burn villages?

Crusaders? I have my doubts.

[ She's thinking religious ones.. ]

I don't think I'm in charger of anybody...

Am I? Are they supposed to listen to me? But I never even met them.
