Have you ever had some thought or feeling that you've kept to yourself so long, that when you finally say it...you realize it isn't quite as true as you thought? Like...it's still partially true, but not in the way you'd been thinking about it over and over in your head.

I don't know. I guess it sounds pretty strange, huh?

We've finished up the case...and Naru's finished his business. He'll be leaving soon but SPR is going to stay open. I'm...I'm really glad about that. I guess a lot has happened lately and some of the things I thought I knew...well, I was all wrong about. It's good to know something will stay the same.

I'm sorry it took so long to update you all. I just really needed time to think things over. I hope I didn't worry anyone.

[Mai was a bundle of nerves. After what happened with Naru...and with Gene, she had taken a good amount of time to really, really think things over. She had confessed to Naru is such a rush because of everything that had happened. But she realized that had been a mistake for various reasons.

Now this time, she wanted to be sure.
