[Rory looks exhausted. There are bags under his eyes and about five empty cups of coffee littered about his desk. He's sipping away from a sixth cup as he turns to address the camera.]

Hullo. [He waves.] Just a reminder that Peggy and I have got a study group for the upcoming biology midterm. We'll be meeting tonight in the library at 7 o'clock. If you're planning to come would you mind leaving a note here? I'd like to know the number of people to expect. Thanks. I appreciate it.

[He pauses and yawns.]

Right. Well, I'll see you all tonight then.

[ Akito looks significantly less tired - mostly because he doesn't stress over schoolwork ever, since he knows there are more important things. But also because he's got two other brains to help him remember this stuff.

Provided they remember what they need to remember in the first place. ]

[ Guess who decided to skip the wrong class. Oops. ]

Hm? [He looks around at the cups, then scratches at his head.]

Oh, no. Just been busy. Not a lot of time for sleep.

Yeah. That's usually how classes work and all.

I've booked Study Room 3. Not my favourite room there, but it'll do.

[ a pause as she takes in Rory's state. She raises an eyebrow ]

Don't take this the wrong way, but you look knackered. [ whereas she, on the other hand, looks only a little bit frazzled, but mostly her usual put-together self ] Is the coffee even helping?

Ah...

I don't know how Papa did it! University is too tedious.

there are more effective things than caffeine for staying awake, you know.

[ Or see you now! Just going pull up a chair next to that desk and sit on his backwards, folding his arms over the back of it ]

I don't know if I can make 7 because the game is going to... [ paaause ] -Have you eaten actual food between all that coffee? You look like you're going to pass out any second now.

I hope you don't mind me saying so, but you look tired, Rory. You have been sleeping recently, right?

I haven't had much time to fit exercise in.

Well, I guess you do need a certain element of determination to get through it all.

Thank you. I completely forgot about the study room.

[He sighs heavily and runs a hand through his hair.]

A little bit. I haven't had much time for much else. The internship at the hospital is brutal.

[He lightly slaps the sides of his face as if that would help keep him awake.]

I had lunch a few...hours ago? [He doesn't seem very confident in that answer.]

Some here and there. The hospital internship has been keeping my busy.

I understand better now why so many people drop out.. I would rather enjoy what time I have left than spend it learning about every minute mechanism of photosynthesis and nerve synapses.

Some people might say the education is worth it later in life.

I don't really expect to live long enough for it to become a real issue.

I can imagine. Maybe you could take a nap before coming to the library? Studying when you're so tired won't be much use.

I'm going to try and sneak on into my schedule somewhere. I promise I'll be ready for the studying so don't count me out.
