Nico?

[ There's a young woman on the screen with long, rust-colored hair. She appears to be looking off to the side of the screen curiously now. The woman is definitely kneeling down on the ground to see into whatever it is she's looking at this from. She really doesn't understand this community thing. Or the internet thing. Or any of this.

Anyway, she looks back at the screen uncertainly after Nico doesn't respond, indicating he's not around. ]

Is someone from the fairy world trying to reach me?

[ That's.. one explanation that might make sense? Maybe? She's hoping??? ]

[ she isn't wearing her helmet at the moment - and at the mention of the word fairy, she thinks that she might have taken it off, anyway. she has to admit that she's curious. ]

Fairy world? Unfortunately not. But you are connected to a lot of other worlds right now.

[ Lydia doesn't seem to flinch at the lack of head, or even look bothered by it. She knows what kind of fairy this is, after all. ]

Are you visiting some place in Europe or are you in one of those other worlds? [ Honestly, the clothes are stranger than the lack of head to her. That a dullahan responded actually makes her a lot more comfortable with this than most would think. ]

[She would say something about 'fairies' but she'll just take it as a general question if there's magic around. Unlike someone earlier, this person hadn't meant that as an insult. Probably.]

Well. There is magic here, sure, but fairy world it's not.

[It should be mentioned that while she's sitting down she's doing so in the air.] At least I haven't seen any fairies.

Well they are invisible, so it's hard for a lot of people to see them unless they want to be seen. Even then, people won't see them if they don't want to acknowledge that they're real.

[ A sigh. So complicated. ]

Magic though? It's not fairy magic?

[ she's surprised by that, and visibly so - her hands pull back, and she hesitates for a moment (trying to decide if it's rude or presumptuous to ask if she knows about dullahan, if she can tell her anything about her kind) before she types again. ]

Both. Actually, I'm in Japan, in a different world to yours.

Yeah. There's rules for all that. It's a real pain sometimes when you really want to get something across.

[She sighs, too. Stupid old fashioned rules.]

I know my own magic isn't fairy magic. Why would a witch use stuff like that? Though, of course, I can't say anything for the rest of this place.

Really? I've never been to the Orient before. [ Maybe those weird clothes are fashionable in Japan!! ] What's it like?

[ Lydia holds up a finger. ]

If you're a witch, would you mind letting people know that they shouldn't confuse fairy doctors and witches?

[ People get them confused sometimes!! ]

The fairies I'm familiar with aren't sophisticated enough to figure out this sort of communication channel, let alone run it. I believe there's something greater behind all this.

My teacher was a bit of a pain when she taught me that.

[She smirks but nods.]

Guess I could. What exactly is a fairy doctor, anyway? I know about witches and a few things about demons but fairies aren't something I studied.

There are a lot of different types of fairies. I'm sure Brownies couldn't manage something like this.. whatever this is.. but someone working under the Fairy Queen might. There are a lot of very intelligent fairies, you know.

A fairy doctor is a person who can see fairies and studies their ways in order to act as a liaison between the fairies and humans. Even if most humans don't believe they exist anymore since they can't see them..

Brownies? Ah, you're from overseas, then. You should see the fairies of Gensokyo. Dull little things.

I think the word I would use is "lively". In my experience, both the people and the cities are dynamic and bustling. There's nothing boring to say about it, in any case. It is a little crowded, though, especially for someone like me.

They're small fairies that look like tiny old men. They love mischief, but they're not bad. Where is Gensokyo?

So, a human that is naturally more receptive to magic? Or learns to sense it... Right, that's not what a witch is. [She seems to be thinking this over. Not a witch, but someone who studies the magic.]

Am I right in guessing you're one?

It sounds like London. I haven't been there in a while [ even if she was supposed to be en-route right now.. ] but that's what it was like the last time I was. My father works there. I suppose you won't have met him since you're in a different world though.

Japan. I don't expect you to have ever heard of Gensokyo. It's cut off from the outside world, you see. Aah, but tell me about your own world!

I've never been to London. I suppose I should see the rest of the world someday... but as it is, I can barely remember Ireland.

[ she slumps with a sigh, morose. ]

I haven't been to Ireland in a while. I'm from Scotland, myself. You don't visit home a lot?

Probably much like the fairy world. It's fairy normal. Towns, bustling cities, people. I try to keep the fairies from causing too much trouble for people and vice versa.

No, not exactly, but there are several different worlds connected to each other here. There are fairies on some worlds, though.

I've been in Japan for twenty years. Going home the way I am now just seems... strange. [ she perks up and waves her hand dismissively. ] ... Besides, I'm still not finished in Japan yet! And I've made some friends here that I don't want to leave behind.
