We still have members from that lovely world with the witches, do we not?

Might I ask a favor? Poor Charlotte has taken ill after playing with the children too long, and I was hoping to get a replacement or a healer, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

Alternatively, I vaguely remember something about breeding them? Is it necessary to have two witches to make that work?

My children really do adore her, and would be heartbroken to lose their pet. If you can give any assistance, it would be much appreciated.

What kind of pet is she? I only know black magic but there's supposed to be other kinds of magic here. One of them might be able to heal an animal.

She is something called a "witch" that I picked up after one of the community viruses. Black magic might be able to help her, since she appears to be a creature that feeds on the suffering of others.

From what I understand she once was a child, but was transformed into this witch creature when she died.

You don't kidnap everybody with magic, do you?

Why would you even think of asking for something like that?! You must know how dangerous they are just to have them around, right? How... how were you even managing to keep one as a pet for so long?

Kidnap...No! She would have been killed in her home world, and seemed happy in mine.

Besides making people suffer, because I'm too busy doing other evil things to do that, what else will heal her?

Because my children care for her. She's the only pet they've ever had that's lasted more than a year and is willing to play with them.

As for the danger...my children are trained soldiers. They know when to leave her alone, and obey me when I forbid them to enter her labyrinth. She is no more dangerous than many of the other creatures on my planet, though perhaps a bit more toxic on the psyche, but I haven't noticed any unusual long-term effects.

So. Given that she seems relatively happy here, would you be willing to offer me another one of your witches? I promise she'll be well taken care of, fed regularly, and kept from too much strenuous exercise.

I assure you, you have nothing to fear from me. I already have one blond magician to take care of.

I don't know. The corpses she normally eats don't seem to be helping, nor do the nightmare-fragments the children have been saving.

... What would I get in return for getting one for ya?

Are... are you serious? You've honestly found a way to make it so that she wouldn't cause too much harm?

[ she's concerned about that "trained soldier" comment, both for the implications it has for the children's lives and what might be meant by "play", but she's far too shocked at the very idea of someone keeping a witch for a pet to even examine those other thoughts right now. ]

I placed her in an area devoid of human inhabitants. Beyond that I didn't have to "make" her do anything - she fits into this world as easily as childsoldiers and servocorpses.

That would depend upon what you desire. I cannot give you a planet, but I might be able to manage a palace or moon.

A witch?

They naturally 'breed' by creating familiars. The familiars run off and eat a person - becoming the same type of witch that spawned it. The question is why in the world you'd keep one of those monsters as a pet?

I wonder what kind of illness would affect a witch? Perhaps they went willingly to their deaths? Or died a hero?

That depends upon your definition of insanity. But no, I do not consider myself insane.

If you had read any of the other comments to this entry, you would know that the creature has as of yet done no harm to my children, nor has it adversely effected the wider world.

A creature created from something called a "grief seed" that I cannot get from my universe.

Is it necessary to feed them living humans, or will servocorpses work as well?

As to why, as I said, my children are quite fond of it and enjoy the games it plays with them.

I'd rather you feed it nothing but they feed off emotions. They're predators. They'd probably prefer live prey.

I have read this post and, while your children might enjoy its company, that doesn't make it a suitable pet. You might be able to contain it but don't bring in another one. What you do with this witch you have is your business; you've isolated it at least. However. They aren't pets.
