First Day of School - Video - Canon Bump

[Filming from Ayumi's windows, the video seems to show something that Ayumi was not aware of at this given time until now. It had been a day or two since the attack and Ayumi was watching the news that morning.]

Precure... so cool...! I didn't realize my world had this...

[Later on, she's sitting in the courtyard of the school as people were moving around her, trying to get to lunch or other classrooms for the day, and she's, well, sitting alone.]

A little bit of course... didn't pay off...

I know it's not what you want to hear right now, but... don't give up. Nobody will ever know your feelings if you stop trying to make yourself heard.

The bell rang before I could even speak to them. And then that dog next door scared me again and...

[She sighed.] I know, I just... it's hard.

No, not really. The first day, well... it's not terrible, just frustrating.

That's understandable. But it will get better. You just have to keep trying.

I suppose I should... I tried talking to the girls about the Precure but that didn't work.

It's just difficult when things aren't going your way.

It's weird... I hadn't heard of the Precure until now. Why do you think that is? It's not like I don't watch the news every day...

[She grins.] Those Precure sure are amazing, though, huh? Hand beams, pretty costumes, jumping all over the place... It'd be awesome to be one of them.

[It occurs to her that she didn't see any named abilities in that video, but she files that away for later. She can't exactly talk to Ayumi about that.]

[One can probably assume it was too loud/muted for the recording because the sound of violence was really penetrating through a broadcast.]

They are! I wish... I wish I could talk to people about them more easily. They seem to be a hot topic here.

I'm not really sure. I've seen the Precure plenty of times in my town and pretty much everyone here knows of them. I can't imagine you just coincidentally didn't hear anything about them, but I don't know what else could be going on.

It's... odd. [That alternate universe theory is just looking more and more likely.]

Well, I lived in Minato Ward, Tokyo before this. I guess I didn't hear much about them at all.

They are pretty popular here on the community, too. Some of us are from a world they live on, so we hear about them all the time. [How much to reveal? Itsuki stops to ponder that for a second.] If it helps, after being on here for a little while, you'll be an expert, one way or another.

I'm fairly certain there are supposed to be Precure active there as well. [That's where Karen lives, if she remembers correctly.]

Maybe. There's a few possible explanations, but I would just be guessing. It's not very important, anyway. [She does think it is, but no need to worry Ayumi.]
