[A young girl, dressed in black, leans towards the camera. She's practically smiling with delight.]

Ah, Saint Germant outdid himself this time! It's a wonderful gift--I speak into this and it'll record my voice as well as my image? [She's talking to someone off-screen. Getting an answer the girl smiles even wider.] Hehe... If anyone could come up with this, my Saint Germant could!

[She pats the camera like one would pet a small dog. The way she tilts her head next indicates there's someone talking to her off-screen.] Don't worry, I'll have my tea in the garden like always. I'll show Brother this wonderful gift when he gets back home. Though, I must wonder...

[She pouts.] If a man has enough free time to design such machines wouldn't he have enough free time to visit the person he's engaged to? Oh, don't worry. I'll write him a letter about it later.

Now, little camera, it's just you and me. It's a little lonely, isn't it? Georik won't be back until sunset today... How about I sing you a rhyme? It might suit you, since you're made out of springs. [With that, the girl begins singing a soft nursery rhyme.] Hickory, dickory, dock...the mouse ran up the clock....

[Lilith is a little surprised. She blinks a few times, leaning in close again. Then her smile returns quickly.]

Really? Saint Germant really outdid himself to surprise me, then! This gift is even better.

Tea, you say?

[rosejam]

Yes! I usually have some tea in the rose garden in the afternoon. I just made some fresh rose jam recently... it should taste delicious on a day like this.

[sugar_and_spice_witch]

That sounds delicious. I want some!

[rosejam]

Well, I'm sure I'll be able to make some more so I could send it to you. [Lilith... You can't send jam through the mail. And you can't send jam through the mail to different universes.]

[sugar_and_spice_witch]

No need. I'll be joining you for the tea party.

[rosejam]

[Lilith stops to blink at that a little. Does this mean she's that close to the village already? Well, it certainly would make sense...the range of the device couldn't be very large. Oh! But that meant it'd be a proper tea party. She clasps her hands together.]

Really? I should tell Sebastian to have another setting out, then--oh...it's been a while since I've had a proper tea party! [She's practically beaming.] I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? I'm Lilith Zaberisk.

[sugar_and_spice_witch]

[The stranger in pink vanishes from the screen in a flash of colorful stars. In the very next moment, with another colorful show, she's right there in person.] And I'm Lambdadelta, the Witch of Certainty.

[rosejam]

Oh! [Lilith falls back a little at first. This...was a lot more flashy than the one time she dabbled in summoning. Even the flamboyant Mephistopheles wasn't as dramatic as this--did she say witch? Couldn't only devils do such things? Oh. That was a lot more interesting than merely having a person over for tea.

She recovers quickly and gives an elegant curtsy.] I hadn't realized...!

[She shuts off the device, just in case. There were some things she wasn't prepared to have recorded. Sebastian said he was going to go to town for a little while to get groceries. He shouldn't be there to overhear... Not to mention that Georik wouldn't be home until near sunset.] I've only dabbled in such things myself but, oh my... It's an honor.

[fearleads]

Hi! I guess you're having fun, huh?

[rosejam]

[She gives a small, un-ladylike giggle.] I am!

[fearleads]

It's fun to try and figure out new inventions. And deaducational! *The green-skinned girl laughs.* Nice meeting you! There are a lot of new faces here.

[rosejam]

Well, I'm not the one who made it, Saint Germant did. He said it was supposed to be some kind of communication device... or something like that. He's always making things like that. [She nods.] I'm quite happy to be able to talk to so many people. My name is Lilith Zaberisk.

[fearleads]

I know how it feels, sort of. My dad's a mad scientist and all. I'm Frankie Stein!

[rosejam]

It's nice to meet you! My dear Saint Germant isn't mad by any measure...even though he doesn't seem bothered to visit me all that much. [She pouts.] He should have given this to me himself instead of sending it in the mail.

[fearleads]

Does he live far away?

[rosejam]

He lives in the capital city. My brother and I used to live in our house there but we had to move to our villa in the countryside. [She's a little annoyed but she smiles brightly.] I'll just give him an earful when I send him a letter telling him I received his gift. You said your father was a scientist...? My father was a doctor.

[fearleads]

Yeah! He even made me, and my pet, too! He's a little famous, I guess.

[rosejam]

[Her eyes go wide. Then she whispers quietly,] Are you a homunculus then? I read about them in some of my father's books...

[fearleads]

I think the actual term's flesh golem, for what I am, anyway. It's scary-complicated, so mash-up monster works, too.

[rosejam]

Oh...! That's so interesting... I'm sorry I dropped my voice. I thought Sebastian could hear but I remembered he's out of the mansion for a while. It would have been hard to explain that I've been reading Father's books on alchemy.

[fearleads]

That's okay! But, uh, why's it bad? Do you have to worry about mobs?

[rosejam]

The king outlawed magic a few decades ago. My father was already an alchemist when it happened so we still have his materials... I get bored so I read them sometimes. Sebastian is a little old fashioned. I don't want to worry him or my brother, Georik.

[fearleads]

That's kind of sad. There's nothing wrong with that stuff.
