[ She signs off, then goes off to run and hide somewhere. She runs far enough that she thinks opening and closing doors probably wouldn't be heard, then ends up crawling inside of one of the lower cabinets in the kitchen. ]

battler does what he's been told, counting down from that magical number. it doesn't take him very long, only a minute of counting, and once it's done he's ready. battler moves, stepping out from the parlor where he had been broadcasting and surveyed the halls.]

[ She can hear his yelling in the distance and as such, she tries to feel around in the darkness of the cabinet for something to throw at him if he opens the cabinet.

Yeah it's that kind of hide and seek. ]

battler is walking through the halls, sneaking around, checking in pretty much all the rooms.

this was great though, he used t play hide and seek in this massive mansion with his cousins when he was younger as well. it was perfect for hiding, so many places! they would play for hours, and generally he was he one that won.

...that was mostly because he was the smallest out of the cousins when they were younger. jessica used to beat him up, easy, but now he was the strong man!]

[ Yuri waits quietly. Surprisingly quietly for herself. She hasn't really played with anyone, at all, since the rest of the SSS disappeared. The only exception was when they went to the Bahamas, but other than that... Well, she misses having people who have no problem being completely childish with her while pretending it's totally not something childish to do.

She also missed playing with Battler, even if she knows that he's still not listening but... There's nothing she can do now, right? Unless Ange specifically says something, it's better to just enjoy the moments she has with him while she can.

So she'll wait until she's found, peeking out just briefly to check if he's coming or not before shutting the cabinet again. ]

[he's creeping around in search for her! battler is nearing the kitchen, tiptoeing into it, but his wonderfully expensive shoes are making noise on the ground, regardless. as he walks further into the kitchen he peeks around a corner, seeing if she's hiding there.

no, he doesn't notice her peeking out.]

[ Yuri slowly closes the cabinet once he comes in, holding the latch down with her pinky until it's mostly closed so that it doesn't make noise. By now, she's found a strainer to smack him with if he finds her. It's light-weight so it won't do too much damage, just give him a shock. She's ready. ]

[he's creeping through the kitchen, seeing as how that corner was a bust. she had to be around here somewhere, he could sense it! call it sorcerer's intuition, but something tells him that yuri is lurking in the depths of the spices!

...ah yes, the cabinet, but of course!

battler walks over, making sure he's stepping lightly, and he kneels down in front of the cabinet. he goes to open it aaaand-!]

Aha! [HE FLINGS THE DOOR OPEN.]

battler falls back with a grunt, his back against the floor. he stares at the ceiling, blinking....

[ She's already out the door, but when she hears him yelling she comes back, her head peeking out behind the doorframe. ]

You're supposed to chase the person and you win if you get them before they get back to base. Hurry up, loser.

[ After which she's going to break out into a run for the master bedroom. ]

[battler instantly flips over, pushing himself up and on to his feet. it was time, yuri!! he wasn't going to back down, not at all! he wasn't sure if they had even established a base, but he knows that yuri will find one and claim it as their HQ. he knows her style by now, he knows it!!

[ She's rushing down the hall, trying to get to Battler's room before he catches up to her. She would probably try to let him catch up if she weren't so competitive. ]

BATTLER IS RUNNING SO FAST AFTER HER! and a big guy like battler chasing her is terrifying, honestly. he's way too stubborn and competitive too.]
