My love....you never noticed A. What happened to him. You should have been there, to see his decline. But you never acknowledged him. Or me. And now he is gone. What came from the sea has returned to the sea.

[ooc; I would imagine, the easiest way, would be to merely knock him out and give him IV ethanol. Which sounds very much like B. And it would leave minimal mark, as well, and could be taken as suicide.]
