[Miharu's not in his own world. Anyone who knows Ariadne might find the background familiar--it's her place. But how'd he get there?]

So this is happening all over? We're not the only ones?

[He holds up his hand, and there's a red string. That'd explain things.]

I'm guessing everyone's already tried to break it. Or cut it. Or everything.

[Ariadne is up at her room at the moment. She's leaning in close to the screen, squinting at the background.]

Are you...are you in my house?

Yeah. And if I'm right, there's a red string on your hand. 'Cause I'm following it now.

Hmm...

[She had been trying to ignore it honestly...

But she tugs on it, hard enough for whatever or whoever was on the other end to feel it.]

[Unfortunately, the tug startled him enough that he crashs into a wall.]

Ow.

[Okay, well that was evidence enough. She shuts off the video and emerges from her room, out into the main living room of that floor where he was.]

Sorry about that. Are you alright?

[He rubs at his nose, where he got hit.]

Yeah. Nothing too bad, at least.

Are you sure? I could get you some ice if you need it.

I think I should be okay. I've gone through worse.

Well, I can at least get you something to drink.

Okay. I guess we just have to wait it out until this wears off?

That's usually how it goes. I'm pretty sure this one has happened before...

[She leads in in the direction of the kitchen.]

Really? I'm still pretty new here.

[He follows, but a little guarded. He's gotten oddly used to things jumping out and trying to kill him back home.]

[Ariadne, on the other hand is completely at ease. It was hard not to be in a building she helped design. She briefly glanced over her shoulder at him.]

Come to think of it, I don't think we've met.

Oh, yeah. I'm Miharu Minato.

[He bows, starting to get all self-conscious.]

[She smiles and bows her head a bit in return.]

I'm Ariadne. It's nice to meet you.

Your house is nice.

[Yes. Awkward teenage boy is a go.]

[She just looks a bit amused as she continue their tour to the kitchen.]

Thanks. I put a lot of thought into it.

You designed it?

Partially. My friend Arthur worked on it as well.

Wow... That's amazing.

...Thanks. [She looks a genuinely proud at that.

But now they're in the kitchen.]

What can I get you?

Soda, if that's okay. I'm...not really one for water.

Sure.

[She opens the fridge.]

We have Coke, root beer, and orange.

Orange, please.

[He manages a smile.]

Okay. [She pours them both a glass, then hands one over to him.]

So how long do you think this will last? And how should we try and get through it?

A couple of days at most. [She shrugs. It's all really old hat to her now.]

You're welcome to stay here as long as it lasts. Arthur and Eames shouldn't mind.

Thanks. At least it'll be a nice change from constant flooding at night.

Flooding? [She looks at him curiously.]

Yeah, it's been a problem lately. Lots of strong waves, and I live in a low-lying area.

Oh. That must be difficult.

Still, I can't imagine that it's easy.

Is there anything that can be done about it?

It's what I'm supposed to be doing, but I'm no good at it. Terrible, actually.
