[deliver_my_feelings]

[The camera seems to be one of those shaky-cam deals, as Ayumi picks up a item that was glinting in the dirt.] What's this...? It looks like a Cure Decor...?

[Suddenly the world darkened around her as people started screaming. Ayumi whirled around as a huge shadow appeared, forming into a creature.] What is...?! A monster attack?

[Fully forming, Ayumi gasped as a huge snake-like creature with wheels for arms appeared in front of her, roaring loudly a single word]

ZAKENNA!



[Dashing behind a building as the Zakenna started to tear up the area, Ayumi yelped as it swept the area for human victims. And then, a sound caught her ears as a child was in the middle of the chaos.]

Look out!

[The shaky-cam seemed to follow as Ayumi burst from her hiding spot and she grabbed the kid, rolling over and clutching her in her arms before coming to a stop, slamming against a wall.]

ZAKENNA

Are you okay? Good...

[Getting up, she reached into her pocket and withdrew the Smile Pact, finding her voice.] H-hey you! Monster! Your opponent is me!

Precure Smile Charge!
Ready? Let's go Echo!

[In a pillar of light that pushed back the Zakenna, Cure Echo burst from the pillar, driving a massive punch into the Zakenna's face, throwing it back into a shed. Whoops. But quickly, it was back on its feet and smashed Echo backwards into a jungle gym.]

Owie...!

[But the attack didn't stop there as the Zakenna slammed her into the ground, and she barely brought her hands up to keep from getting crushed.] You... don't... it's too heavy... Fu-chan...!

Zaken....!

[Looking over at the side, Ayumi gasped as the little kid she had saved was watching her still, and she scowled up at the monster. Slowly, she began to rise, pushing its huge tail over her head.]

Don't... involve... people... who can't... SAVE THEMSELVES! I WON'T FORGIVE THIS!

[Suddenly a pillar of black and white light erupted from her as a new Cure Decor appeared in front of her, throwing off the Zakenna. It was a stylized design with a 10 across it.] What is this... the Decor is...? Fu-chan did you...?

[Grasping it, she smiled.] It's warm...!

READY? LETS GO, CURE SHIFT!
Precure Shift Charge!

[And placing the Cure Decor, her outfit shifted into a pink and black style, her hair blossoming into larger ponytails as it shifted into pink and a headdress formed as she posed.]

The light of many hearts, Cure Union!

[Holding up her hand, she twisted her fingers as a Cure Decor appeared and she swept it into her Smile Pact. A outline of Cure Black and Cure White appeared and merged into her body for a moment before she stanced, bracing her hands on either side as if holding onto their hands.]

Our beautiful souls shall crush your evil heart! Pretty Cure...!

[A torrent of white and black lightning crackled into formation and she yelled, throwing her hands forward.] MARBLE SCREW!

[The poor Zakenna had nowhere to run as it was absolutely obliterated, vanishing into spirits that ran away. Union sighed as she collapsed to the ground, her form shifting back to Echo and then to Ayumi where she lay there, exhausted.]

What... was that...? It was like it wasn't me...

I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this anime before. Ever.

That looked like it took a lot out of you, though.

I feel like a train ran over me. I'm better, just exhausted. Yuri-san managed to get me home though.

[umisho]

That's good, then... but it doesn't address the main problem here. What the hell was that? Some kind of... creature? And you just blasted it to kingdom come?

I'm gonna have to get used to this, aren't I?

[deliver_my_feelings]

It's I think a Zakenna, a monster created from an inanimate object. In this case it was a roller coaster.

And yes, I think so.

[umisho]

Huh. That's new. I mean, I'm glad you're okay and all, but... roller coaster monsters and girls that shoot laser beams.

Not that I can really talk, considering I help a girl build a giant robot.

[deliver_my_feelings]

Well considering how dangerous our world can get, I guess I'm lucky that I managed to get through it.

You made a giant robot?

[umisho]

That's true enough. Seriously, if you're going to be getting into trouble like that, you need to take it easier, and keep an eye out. You can't exactly protect anything if you're getting turned into a bloody mess.

[He nods.] A friend and I work on one as part of our school's Robotics Club. She's... a lot more into it than I am, admittedly, but I like Gunvarrel almost as much as she does, which is why we're building it.

[deliver_my_feelings]

Well I was just exhausted from that. My uh, transformed state protects me from a lot of injury.

Huh, I didn't realize schools had robotics clubs with that kind of funding.

[umisho]

Hmm... That's helpful, I guess, but don't count on it too much, or you're going to get yourself hurt when you're expecting your power to protect you and it doesn't.

And most don't, honestly - we've only got what we have because this robot's been under construction for several years, and we're getting pretty close. As it stands, though, we're having trouble securing funding for our activities this year... we're going to have to resort to some unorthodox methods, it's sounding like.

[deliver_my_feelings]

I guess you have a point.

... don't knock over a bank for it.

[umisho]

Sorry, I don't mean to be a pain about it. But... I'd rather you not get hurt doing something like that, if you can help it. It's weird, but... it's just an aversion I have.

[Kai laughs.] GunPro-1 can't move well enough for that yet. But I'll remember that. No, our funding is coming from a hobby robotics expo that's coming up pretty soon - if we win the robo-battle tournament that's coming up, we'll be given funding to continue our activities this year. If not... [He grimaces.] We're being ordered to disband.

[deliver_my_feelings]

It's okay, I'm meant to do this. I'll be fine, I'm sure of it.

Oh okay, so basically it stands there and such? And beats up other robots?

[umisho]

I'm going to hold you to that. And if something happens, I'm going to say "I told you so" while we get you bandaged up.

Well, Gunvarrel won't be coming for this one. We're using something a little smaller for the tournament. But yes, it'll be beating up other robots.

[deliver_my_feelings]

Ah well okay, I'll let you hold me to that then.

Oh okay, so you've got smaller ones?

[umisho]

We do have smaller robots, yeah. We've got an old one in the clubroom that we're probably going to be using, if we can get the battery swapped out. But there haven't been any truly giant robots. I think they're starting to work on them, though. For now, it's more smaller robots, human-sized robots, and assistance robotics - prosthetic limbs and such.

That is fairly more advanced than I've heard of before. I guess it should be interesting when it happens, right?
