Everyone, I have had an epiphany I wish to share with you all. It is in fact quite simple: Do whatever you feel like! If you want to take over the world, go ahead! Take over the world! Just realize that everybody's going to think you're an idiot for trying to do so.

The same applies to heroics. Do you want to save the world? If you answered yes, then save the world, knowing full well that you're making yourself a target for everyone that wants to cause trouble in some way! If you just want to have fun? Go ahead! Nothing's stopping you except yourself, as long as you realize that skipping out on things you said you would do is going to cause people to not trust you any more!

This is the crux of the philosophy, I think. Analyze the consequences of your actions, and do what you feel is best for you! Don't make decisions for other people, make decisions for yourself! Forget about other people, what should matter most to you is you!

I don't know... I always find that the best decisions are made when you put the betterment of society above your own personal wishes.

"The betterment of society" is a trap, I've found. The only ones that are "bettered" by said "betterment" are the ones in power. Rules are built to enslave, to blind a person from the truth: that individuality matters most of all.

But surely this can be solved by making sure that no one is in a position of power- or rather, making sure that everyone is. That way, when we work to improve society, everyone benefits! :)

You underestimate the corruption that power brings. It works for a while, but in the end there's always someone who winds up being considered "the leader", who promptly abuses their power to make things better for themselves, ultimately sapping the life away from the very people they once claimed to represent. Any form of organization ultimately reaches this point.

... Oh, dear. But surely not everyone would succumb to this! And those who didn't could keep the others in line! It's a perfect system, really.

... Or, at least, I think is. Then again, I'm hardly an expert at such things...

Do I even what to know?

I finally realized it, Jack. All of my life, I've been used and manipulated by the people in charge. I've been spending years going on practically suicidal missions for no good reason, other than the advancement of mysterious agendas that don't affect me at all. Even leaving the moon didn't work, I just wound up doing the same thing for someone else.

I get it now, though. I get that I've gone from being considered "too powerful to live" and sent on suicidal missions, to being a sadist's chew toy. I get that the only thing keeping me here is myself. As of this moment, Reisen answers to no one but herself!
