Ah, but it's a bit different in my world, you understand. If a fellow is even suspected of having rather... Greek leanings, it's enough to get him bunged in chokey, or even hanged. So you'll understand if it comes as a bit of a surprise to this Wooster when two coves can go about hand in hand wearing the bands of holy m. without a word here or there.

Not that any of those reasons ever made much sense to me, being of rather a Classical disposish myself. Not that anyone in my own world knows, of course. Now that is a thought to make the limbs quiver and the persp. bead upon the brow.

Hmm. Let's see if I can pull out some of the old scripture knowledge from the little grey cells, shall we? There's something in Leviticus- 'you shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination.' Sounds a bit nasty, but it does lay things out quite clearly. And the chaps from Sodom and Gomorrah, well- they went about lying with blokes as with fillies, and the old Almighty Cove rained down fire and acid and smote the lot of them into the ground for it.

Ah... well, it's not quite that simple, you see. There was a chap rather recently, name of Oscar Wilde, who tried to do just that. 'The love that dare not speak its name' and all that, and he got put away for gross indecency. Ended up dying of it. And he was a dashed sight better man than B. Wooster- a writer johnnie, you know, a properly brainy cove.

Piffle, it's not all bad. I mean to say, the Old T. was full of smiting and plagues and death, but Jesus had quite a few good things to say- love thy neighbour as thyself and all that rot. I rather think he would have been a tad more accepting of the Aristotelian among us than the blokes in the Old Testament. A good bloke, Jesus Christ.

No offense, of course, but I rather think you might get mistaken for a woman were you to wander into my little old world.
