(no subject)

Kaname insisted I practice how to interact socially on the internet. While I accept that the internet is useful for information gathering and efficient communication, I had not known that it was used for such an impractical pastime.

She also said something about me "fitting right in with those other social retards," but I am unqualified to judge that statement.

I do not understand the purpose of a community concerning ducks. They have no known cultural or historical importance, little agricultural benefit, and possess little to no natural defense. Additionally, I do not believe there is any precedent for ducks being particularly dramatic, nor do I see how that changes the situation.

...Which forces me to conclude that "DramaDramaDuck" is a codeword for an underground terrorist ring. I will infiltrate this community, learn the true identities of its codenamed members, and then report back to Mithril with my findings. Once I have learned the location of the servers, a swift tactical strike will be enough to ensure the destruction of this cell's means of communication, essentially disabling it for now. The need for further action after the strike will be evaluated after the completion of this mission.

And yet another one manages to find their way onto here. Well, welcome to the community. I suppose I should also let you know that this community really doesn't have much to do with ducks. It's pretty much just a random title for the place.

No ducks here, just a bunch of crazy people!

... and it's definitely not a terrorist ring.

No. But it does have a connection to multiple dimensions and worlds, and therefore a connection to some pretty interesting characters.

Paranoid, much?

What? No! If you don't believe me, just get a worldhop.

... what makes you think this is a terrorist site anyway?

hack!

Wow, I'm surprised you found it out already. Good job.

A hop to another world. Some people here can travel between them.

Eh, I suppose this place does come off as suspicious. But honestly, it's all harmless fun! Mostly.

I don't blame you, but reserving judgment would be a good idea.

Well, different people find different reasons to come here. Usually it's so that they can meet and communicate with people of other worlds or to keep in contact with those they already know. I personally enjoy coming here because I never know what interesting things I will learn in the process.

Interacting with others in a social manner and developing relations with people that could possibly be deemed allies is an impratical pastime?

[identity profile] as-nobility.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Is that so? Is it because of the distance issue or you find them not to be trustworthy?

[identity profile] as-nobility.livejournal.com 2008-08-12 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
That's not always the case, I've come to believe.

Recently a kingdom was infiltrated and attacked by an enemy. Things would surely have ended terribly if the kingdom was left to fend for itself. But an acquaintance of mine used this community to come into contact with people and let them know of her distress. The group I am currently traveling with immediately headed to her assistance, and while admittably the kingdom is not in a good state right now, it is in a better condition than it would have been without our assistance.

You'd be surprised...

We really just had to assist in releasing some of the captured soldiers belonging to that of the kingdom. And we had a few other powerful allies on our side. Some of us were trained, some were merely talented in their capabilities.
maraich: (Is that a giant duck out the window?)

What about giant mutant ducks?
