Yes, but when you're a computer, you don't have to listen to illogical personal thoughts ... which is what my reasons for "hiding" pretty much chalk up to.

Under this suit, I am human. But I was raised by an alien race, and now that they are gone, I am their only remaining representative. I carry their torch... not that of humanity. So... to see my face... is to see something I don't really stand for. Does that make sense...?

What one identifies themselves as is quite important. It can certainly be completely different from what others see and think of them. But... from what I've experienced seen, what you are is also a part of your identity. It's just... sometimes more difficult to meld the two sides together.
