Any one of a variety of things. Some simply leave and continue with their lives. Some leave and completely forget they had ever been here.

Sometimes simply by coming here they create a parallel world, and when they leave the parallel world ceases to exist, so not only do they forget, they go back to before the point when they joined in the first place, so that it never actually happened to them at all.

So you see, it's very complicated. But then, this community is very complicated.

Yes, it is.

A more specific and accurate description would be that it is a hub of worlds: a point in space and time that attracts worlds and universes to it like a magnet. They collect at the point, and the meeting generates energy. In this case, the energy generated seems to be manifesting itself into making the hub itself partially animate, and also for things such as the viruses.

Oooh, an interesting question. I try not to harbor regrets of any kind, but in my tasks and duties it is difficult to avoid doing things that require doing which may be cause for some regret. So yes, I do regret some of my actions, but they were necessary, for various reasons.
