Even psychos have issues...

All right you miserable lot, I've got a bone to pick with you because I know if I ask the normal people I spend time with, I'll probably end up committing explosive suicide in order to take them with me and torment them for eternity just to make myself happy.

But I digress.

I met this chap a while back... looks a lot like myself. Mentioned something about him and a bunch of other Black Mages being... Constructs. And, bein' a Black Mage myself, it's made me question this existence of mine. I mean... I thought I knew what gave me the endless powers of the cosmos's and it generally resulted from be being a violent misanthrope with an unquenchable thirst for power and destruction. But what if perhaps that's not the truth and just some little story implanted into my head to prevent me from realizing the truth. That in the long run I'm nothing but a puppet for some... god knows what.

So let's get your miserable ideas on this topic. Hit me with what you got.

Hm...We reap what we sow?

Continue living your life as you know it. It seems to me the truth would make itself known eventually, if what you live is false.

It means that the what we do comes back on us in numerous ways, many of the bad.

Consider I'm in my world and you're in your own, your threats aren't very useful. Besides which, we're traveling in the sky at several hundred knots. If you can pinpoint that with a some sort of portal, feel free to try. I'll cut you down before you can raise a wand or utter one incantation.

Please don't threaten my girls, sir.

The useful thing would be to simply stop thinking about it. What does it matter where we come from? What matters is who we are! If we choose to do good, we create a better future for ourselves and everyone, so our past doesn't matter. If we, or in this case you, choose to be rather rude and ill-tempered, we create nothing of use, and so are left only with our own anger and confusion.

Pretty much. See, my point is this: What if you're not some puppet? Then you'd just be chasing baseless thoughts. And even if you are... Sometimes, that doesn't change a thing.

You bragged about your capacity to end my existence and I'm always close by my girls. How is that not a threat?

[identity profile] purrifying-wind.livejournal.com 2008-08-28 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
There, you seem to be getting it well enough.

[identity profile] secondvirgo.livejournal.com 2008-08-28 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, you're a puppet alright.

[identity profile] toxiccrown.livejournal.com 2008-08-28 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Some people might be created with a particular purpose in mind, but that shouldn't stop you from living life however you want to. That's what my colleagues and I do.

Hey, you wanted ideas!

[identity profile] the-air-corsair.livejournal.com 2008-08-28 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Your loss, my friend. I'd split you open like a log.

...I just gave you useful advice before, idiot!

[identity profile] toxiccrown.livejournal.com 2008-08-28 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. And for all you know you're probably over thinking things for nothing.

Who was it that you spoke to?
