[FAILED LOCK AGAINST RUFUS]
My last inquiry garnered me so much positive reaction, I think I'll do another.

I'm sure the rest of you saw Mr. ShinRa's post, requesting our presence for the unveiling of some large piece of military equipment, and saying that the proceeds from this party will be placed into a fund for rebuilding Gaia.

But I feel there's something fishy about this request. What does he need such a large cannon for? And if his planet, Gaia, needs to be rebuilt, how do we know that it's not his despotic regime which caused the problem in the first place? This cannon may simply be another means by which he oppresses his planet and causes further destruction.

I'm not saying this is the case. But from my investigations about this man, I see that he has made virtually no friends here, and yet he claims that he joined this community as a marketing ploy. What sort of marketing ploy is it that he deliberately insults the community at large, and yet expects success?

So please, if anyone knows this Rufus ShinRa, enlighten me. I want to understand this creature.

My thoughts exactly, Johnny. The more I've read of this guy, the more I want to check it out.

At the very least, there will probably be things of some value. A man so obsessed with status as he seems, would surely keep valuables to show off his wealth.

The ShinRa's before him ARE the cause his miserable little planet is the way it is. He /says/ he's trying to fix it, but I've seen nothing towards that whenever I pay a visit.

For a man obsessed with trying to rebuild his world proper, a destructive weapon such as that IS rather out of place.

But as for the point, I like to think along the first commenters lines. Rufus is a Simpleton not fit to be in charge of such things. He says what his intentions are, yet they make little sense or turn out much in the long run.

He is not a creature that needs to be understood, but rather a creature that needs to be wiped from the face of the multiverse.

A creature that needs to be wiped from the face of the multiverse? That's quite a strong measure to take for someone that you claim to be merely a simpleton.

I do appreciate the additional information, however. Has he done you some personal wrong?

I find with people like that, it's best to be armed with information before you ask a question. Better to already know the answer before you ask, you see?
