[The scene appears to be a wide patio, white paving stones next to the tall white walls of a castle. It's an impressive building, but there are cracks all over, and holes in the patio full of rubble. It seems things haven't been going too well here.
But there are people on the patio, nonetheless. One is Masamori, surrounded by a sphere of dark energy. He's watching the others from a short distance, keeping a particular eye on a small boy with a bloody hole in his kimono and strange eyes. The boy, for his part, is talking to a striking woman, with long black hair and odd eyes of her own, who is visibly upset. The woman has a coat draped over her that some people may recognize as Masamori's (and seems not to be wearing anything else), and is holding a sleeping girl in her arms.
The boy looks downwards with a bitter smile as he speaks. For all that the voice is young, he doesn't speak like a child. He is precise, well-spoken. Disenchanted.] Really...what an idiot. [He laughs, but it's not a sound anyone would associate with joy.] We change so quickly, and quickly forget things, so we lust for the certain... [He loses the smile, and looks off to the side, towards one of the piles of rubble.] Did Tsukihisa really believe I was his elder brother?
[The woman looks at him with sad sympathy.] Master...
[His next words are flat. Objective.] But I should have moderated myself. We both wanted too much, and therefore went too far.
