We've got some dancers like this on my world. They're getting more popular.

Just kinda picked it up. I mean, I can't defy gravity like some of those guys but I can do handstands and spin-flips. I used to do it to entertain myself. The athletics sure have been helpful lately, though. Running across collapsing monorails suspended in the air and stuff.

I hadn't really thought of it that way. Might be useful in combat too, huh?

I'm planning to get back into it myself once my legs are working again.

It is useful in combat. I know how to use double-thrust kicks as recovers and I can dodge and counter most attacks too.

. . .What's wrong with your legs?

There's probably some stylistic elements that don't transfer over though, huh?

I got into an accident. Rehab's going slow, but if I can get my arms working again I can do the same for my legs.

Well yeah. Spinning on my head in front of the Armada wouldn't be very practical. It's more the way I learned to move that's helpful than the moves themselves.
