I am aware that this is at quite short notice, but is there anybody here who might be able to... take me in, as it were, for the duration of this virus?  I do not like to try my luck any longer than I have to, staying here and hoping to avoid detection, and certainly I cannot go sneaking about town in my own clothes.  If I am discovered, however- a strange woman in the Commodore's house, in the Commodore's clothes, unable to give any good account of herself... well.  I would doubtless be locked in one of the cells in my own Fort, and when the virus subsided, and I was found in my own form, sitting in jail... I cannot even imagine what would result.

I won't be able to take you in, as I'm staying at someone else's home for the time being, but if you should need a worldhop to your destination, I wouldn't mind transporting you.

I could not agree more. Entertaining these may be to others who do not have to suffer them, but when they interfere with one's ability to run one's own life... Your mother is a handsome woman. Though I rather doubt that's any comfort.
