[For Team One: The Old ShinRa Mansion]

Rufus is sitting in the basement, reading files- throwing a knife at an old picture of his father. He senses something coming towards the mansion, hoping the monsters would eventually come. Sighing, annoyed that he wouldn't get to have a ceremony. He starts running throughout the house to get to the back.

Sephiroth walks towards the mansion as if this matter were little more than a casual stroll, a cold smile on his lips. He pauses as he surveys the little town, bringing up fond memories, then waits patiently for the rest of the team to arrive.

Rufus steps back and makes a running leap to get to the top of the mansion. Smirking at his new Arrancar powers.

"GENERAL SEPHIROTH!" he calls from the top of the building, his black coat flapping in the breeze, "How nice to see that you got wrapped into this battle sir!</b"

"Hmph." Sephiroth turns to see where the voice is coming from and scowls as he spies the black-clad Rufus showing off on the roof. "Amateur."

Annoyed, his smirks into the bone part of his face, and calls, "TELL YOUR MOTHER I HAVE A GIFT FOR HER. ITS ON HER WAY TO MEET HER SOON!"

Ichigo wanders toward the source of ShinRA's spiritual pressure, an stern expression appearing across his face as he concentrates in pinpointing his exact location.

"He's close by, I'd say in that mansion over th--," his voice catches in his throat as he spots Sephiroth, his eyes narrowing.

Sephiroth remains impassive, his only response a raised eyebrow. He picks up the Masamune and scratches at the dirt.

Sephiroth looks up to see Ichigo and smiles, raising a black-gloved hand in a gesture of welcome.

"Glad you could join us, Ichigo."

Rufus's hallow voice is carried further coldly, "Look to your left. That is Father Ray. <3"

He frowned slightly, unsure whether to believe Rufus or not.

"An empty threat."

He texted the technition over at Junon, and his blue eyes fluttered as green light filtered over the sky.

"That is sending a nice dose of bitch-slap to your mother, with love from the planet.

*Alex stands beside Ichigo, having tagged along with the shinigami since their first meeting in Midgar. He regards Sephiroth with an icy stare.*

Colette follows behind Ichigo, twisting the ring Dante gave her around her finger. She looks up and spots Sephiroth as well.

"What is he doing here?"

"You wouldn't dare." His lips pursed, and he hefted the Masamune into a fighting stance, glaring at ShinRa. "You would not have the audacity to attack Kaa-san in such a way - not when you know that your hours are already numbered."

Sephiroth regards him with amusement.

"Yes?"

"...Sephiroth," he replies coldly, "What a...surprised to see you here."

His fingers reach back for his Zangetsu, readying himself for any sort of assault against him or his team.

"Oh, and it's the Arrancar," he directs a smirk to Rufus.

"If I'm going to hell, I'll take your mother with me. No one double crosses ShinRa; you of all people should know that. Well taa ~

"You didn't think I'd let you fight Rufus without me, did you?" he smirks, although he makes no attempt to direct his blade at Ichigo. "I am well aware of what he is, and that you alone can defeat him, but that doesn't mean that I can't have my fun."

"You deserve all that you have coming to you, ShinRa." He clenches his jaw and glances in the direction of the green light streaking across the sky, concern marring his features.

"You too, murderer. But this is what I don't get. YOU kill all around you, including this town. Your avatar does the same thing and your other clones follow in suit. So! All I do is purchase a specimen and all of a sudden I'm a bad guy?"

"I suppose it all comes down to being a matter of opinion." The hint of a smile tugs at the corner of his mouth. "You seem to have made a lot of enemies across the worlds, whereas I - thanks in no small part to the emotional weaknesses of Kadaj - am no longer regarded as the main villain. How ironic, to think that you helped to create him in the first place. It would seem that you have lost your PR battle, ShinRa."
