Team Two - Part III

[RL - ShinRa Building, 65th Floor - Gaia]

Having fought their way past another few floors of ShinRa SOLDIERs, the team finally arrives at the door of the ShinRa Laboratory on the 65th Floor, where Kadaj takes a moment to heal himself with the Restore Materia and catch his breath.

"This is it. This is where she is."

He swallows nervously and glances over at Zaon, nodding at the older man.

"We're going in."

Grabbing the keycard he managed to swipe from a fallen SOLDIER, he opens the lock and steps inside.

He didn't seem to like that very much.

"Huh. Well... I don't want to sound rude or anything, but... in that case, I'm glad that you're dead." He smiled nastily. "No hard feelings."

"Had I not died, your fiancee wouldn't be here. You owe me."

He just scowled and turned his attention back to the task at hand.

"Huh. I'll make sure you get a special mention at the wedding or something."

"Oh joy."

"Look, I'm going to need your help for it, anyway."

"Lets just go!" Zaon breaks into the lab room and sees Yunalesca's form floating within the casing and falls to his knees.

"Zaon? Where are you..." Kadaj follows Zaon into the room and just stops, staring at the casing with his mouth agape. "Yunalesca... beloved..."

He gives a choked sob and stumbles slightly, the grip on his Souba tightening, before his face contorts into a mask of complete rage, and he throws himself at the tank, his fists pounding against the glass as he screams and cries at the top of his voice.

"Yunalesca! Yunalesca!"

Zaon can only gape at what ShinRa has done to her. He growls at Kadaj, "You let them do this to her?"
