....Zechs I don't want to fight with you, but if..Tyki is dead, you will put your life in danger for nothing. If he isn't, and I want to believe that he isn't, there's other ways.
You can't just worldhopp to the Ark, not in the middle of a war that doesn't concern you. Even if you're an skilled soldier you can't do anything against the powers of the exorcists, and the other Noahs will not doub on killing you.

I would imagine, miss, even people upon your own world live with such a dark and terrible beast as war. Yet I imagine a lady such as yourself would find little need to prepare for that dire creature.

I have heard so, though my country has been at peace for nearly twenty years now. It is mostly the West, with their constant disagreements... You are indeed correct that I have not experienced anything of the sort. Fighting has always been explained as a matter of honor to me, but now, I am not quite so sure.
Yes, he did seem to have a nice time. Tyki-kun was so pale and tense when he arrived, but when at the end of the evening I was quite relieved to see color in his cheeks! A little rest and relaxation never hurt anyone, really... This, well, before, of course...

Kasumi is delicate, but not as delicate as they come. As long as you don't break her brain [which would be fixed by blocking whatever had happened, and has happened once before], she can handle things explained. If you explain it in abstract/vague terms. Zechs has a right to be careful.

In the past, my family was that of the warrior class, but that period is far in our history now. We practice the Art and honorably accept every challenge. Father says that honor is in winning the match, but perhaps not it is not. Perhaps it is the way one handles such things, and over all situations, that produces true honor.
It is 1990 on the Western calender, or the first year of Emperor Akihito-sama's rein, if you would like to be traditional. My country is Japan, which seems to be a popular choice of world variation, does it not?

Yes, we are. Father is the head of our particular branch of the Art. He is teaching Akane-chan everything he knows. Our fellow school is quite similar, but more prone to aerial stunts than ground grappling. The Schools will be joined, of course, once the heirs do stop being so silly.
It has been a bit hard, from what Father has told me of our ancestry, but we have been able to maintain our state of residence, though the property has shrunk since it was originally bestowed upon us. Father still has the samurai armor, you know. Samurai were the warriors years ago who swore loyalty to a lord or such. Quite like knights, I suppose, but also very different.

Different indeed, as I recall from my own schooling. It would seem your family has an impressive history. To have held onto such traditions, during the modern era, would have been challenging.
From your perspective, our technology would seem to be. I am unfamiliar with the exact definition of an 'airship' as used by Johnny Sfondi, yet we have crafts which may take civilians into the Earth's orbit, and scientists to Mars. Our era is considered to be a new Colonial era, for we have built large civilian colonies in orbit around the Earth.

Yes. Our fathers agreed upon an engagement as students under the same master. It may see a bit odd to some, perhaps old fashioned, but those two really do seem to like each other quite a bit. If only they could express it without playing so roughly...
It is so, sometimes. But we get by quite well. It is not as if we are so traditional we shun modern principles; after all, Akane-chan is the heir, and I am using a computer. We just keep the old ways alive in little ways.
