rebirth

So there are differences culturally, religiously, morally, all that - I want to hear your take.

It's a possibility I guess. I mean, years of working with the dead hasn't confirmed it happens, but it hasn't proved it has either.

Pretty much. I consider death to be an open ended essay. Father Dom keeps telling me it's all about heaven and eternal life, but I don't have any firm opinions one way or the other.

Why are you asking?
trinities: (I am giving my opinion!)

No such thing.

philoxidizes: (are you pondering what I'm pondering?)

Do you mean literal rebirth?
philoxidizes: (o rly?)

Well, there are certainly enough options. Some people find comfort in a heaven while others hope for reincarnation; I suppose it's a matter of which appeals more.

Once function is terminated, you're off-line. Simple.

What kind?

I do think people can change. Completely. If that counts.

It's quite possible, for the right price.

That all depends on what you're trying to revive. My brother surrendered only an eye to return a god to life.

In my experience, it's best for things that are dead to stay dead. It's not natural for the dead to come back to life.

[identity profile] missdoitherself.livejournal.com 2009-02-13 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen it. More than once. I wish I hadn't. It's...not really something you can forget.

Stranger things have happened, especially 'round these parts. [eyes him] Ya thinkin' of anythin' in particular, Timmy?
