... dunno why I'm bothering. Bloody stupid holiday.

So, community. Say you've got someone you want to get a gift, but, ehm, you've never really had anyone to get a Valentine's Day gift for before.

I have an, ehm, a friend-- yes, a friend-- who's more or less... at a loss in the gift-giving area.

... have you any ideas I could possibly use give him to sort of, yknow, give him a bit of a nudge in the right direction?

I think girls like the more personal gifts. Well, I do, at least. Like if a guy's an artist and he paints me something or if he writes me a song.

That's good, too. As long as it's something she might associate with you, the fact that you'd perform or draw or sing or do anything like that for her would be very flattering.
