It's caught my attention that there seems to be another holiday coming up. Valentine's Day, or something along those lines.
The concept itself seems rather simple. If someone considers themself to be in love, they send flowers or chocolates to their... "beloved". Women especially seem to enjoy this holiday, although for what reasons that is I'd rather not even consider.
But what catches my interest is why the people of Earth find the need to set aside a special day for this alone. If it's not important enough to take a day off from work, then why should it even be decreed a holiday?
Or are the men there so unreliable that giving gifts to the one they are enamored with slips their minds unless there's a specific date for it?

It would kind of lose it's meaning and specialness if people did it all the time.

I don't really need a special day.
...Although White Day is confusing and it's not for another month.
Note to self. Tell Michiru I like thin mints.
