Ladies and gentlemen, I have an announcement of UTMOST importance.

There has been a great deal of confusion lately. While we at the host club do entertain our clients with our handsome looks and dashing ways, providing lovely young ladies with company and companionship, we do not... Well. You know. We don't... We are as geisha, not... you know. And we always, always conduct ourselves with the utmost of gentlemanly behavior, of course, which in itself quite rules out... that.

Geisha are known for the motto "We sell our art not our body". The mizuage ceremony is different. That is usually used to get the young apprentince out of debt and to free herself. However, now I believe this practice is no longer used. After World War II there was some confusion do to the fact that anyone with a painted face could claim themselves a Geisha such as a prostitute. Most of the Geisha have gone into hiding or went into other trades during the war.
The Geisha is NOT a form of prostitution. I suggest that you guys do some research before you insult a dying culture well known for their art.
Some Geisha do fall in love with their clients or their danna. Some do marry and retire to live life of a married woman or carry on their job as a Geisha.
Please, try and understand the misunderstanding. I am very familiar with the Geisha culture, having been taught many of their skills as a child.
