Hey, kids. Geez, I have to run off to a meeting in London with the UNIT heads, and suddenly all hell breaks loose here. I've been warned about these virus things, but I've yet to actually experience one. Should I consider myself lucky? From what I've heard, they're to be avoided at all costs. What did this last one entail? I've heard it was something about love, but that's all I've gotten.
...alright. I have a question for you guys, and it's not exactly the happiest of topics. Have any of you ever lost any family members or teammates or friends or really just anyone that's close to you? How did you deal with it? I have a friend that's having a harder time with coping with a loss than I knew at first, and I'm really not sure what to do about it. This friend has been through a lot, you know? I just really want to do something to help. This really isn't my field of expertise, though. I'm much more of a "grin and bear it" kinda guy, right? I'm not sure how I can help out, but this person means a lot to me, so I'm open to suggestions.

Actually, I'm not sure that I really age at all anymore, to tell you the truth. Not something that I really want to be common knowledge, but I trust you won't go spreading that around. Being a 19th century guy yourself.

No real big secret when I'm from, though. Once you tell everyone you're a vampire, they don't leave much shock and horror for the rest of it. Shame, really.

So, are you vampires the whole attack and kill the innocents type like they make you out to be? Should I worry about being abducted in the night or something like that?
no subject
As for the rest of it - some of our and some of us aren't. The ones of us with any brass at all are.

Interesting. I'll take note of that and keep it in mind the next time I'm walking about a dark alley by myself.

So, what sort of sturdier stuff are you packed full of, Captain?
no subject
Oh, you know. The sort of stuff that lets you walk out of any kind of encounter alive and kicking.
no subject
You the next bionic man?
no subject
Well, something like that, but not really. According to the person that actually knows what happened, I'm wrong and should never have existed. Which is really great to tell someone after they've traveled to the end of the universe just to find out what the hell happened.

Want me to eat him or her?
no subject
I would say yes, but sadly I'm friends with this person, so then I'd feel pretty bad about bringing about their death. Plus, a lot of people around here on the community would probably take offense to me offing him. You might have heard of the Doctor, a plucky little guy who hangs around about here a lot?
no subject
Never talked to him, but his squinty face sounds familiar.
no subject
Yeah, he has a habit of making some pretty strange faces. Also has a habit of swooping in and causing trouble wherever he seems to end up, so... Nice guy, even so, although more than a little strange, and dare I say, kooky.
no subject
Kooky you can dare say. Maybe I should meet him anyway, just for shits and giggles.
no subject
Heh, maybe you should. He would probably be fascinated with the whole vampire bit--don't know whether he's run into any vampires before in his travels. I wonder.
no subject
Maybe I'll blow his mind.
no subject
Oh, if you do, will you tell me about it? He usually already has met mostly everything--Time Lord, and all that, travels the universe through a machine that works through time and space.
no subject
... huh. You don't say.
no subject
Yup. It's how I got stranded in the year 200,100 with only one good use left on my own vortex manipulator that consequentially permanently stranded me in the 1800's at the mercy of a fairly new and ruthless Torchwood.
no subject
Your past is kind of convoluted, isn't it?
no subject
To say the least. It's pretty much the most confusing thing I've ever encountered, and I've lived it. I can only imagine trying to explain everything to someone else.
